Russia-Ukraine Flash Report 13 SEP 2022 13:45 PDT - Updates
Added 2022-09-13 21:04:37 +0000 UTCThink of this as a mini SITREP
- Ukraine has captured (so far) two combat brigades worth of military equipment from September 6 to 11, and destroyed another 1 to 2 brigades worth - that is equivalent to an entire Russian army wiped from the face of the earth in five days
- Russian forces are still in Davydiv Brid - there are a lot of rumors they retreated
- I don't think anyone knows what is happening in Lyman except people in Lyman
- We believe Ukrainian troops have crossed into Borova across the Oskil River - there are a lot of hints and Deep State indicated that Ukraine is on the east side, just didn't say where - Borova is the most logical strategic location and most Russian troops pulled out weeks ago as we reported
- GSAFU reported Russia shelled Kupyansk - there are reports Ukraine is in or trying to establish on the eastern side
- Russians shelled the same civilians they considered liberated in Kozocha Lopan, northwest of Kharkiv because of course they did
- Igor "Girkin" Strelkov hinted that the Bakhmut/Soledar offensive may be coming to an end - there is a growing view on both sides that it is completely pointless now and there are bigger issues
- Russia has confirmed they left teachers behind and they've been arrested
- Ukraine has asked for more advanced weapons from the United States, including the longest short range missiles in inventory (310 km is still considered short range) - there is a feeling the US is to a point they'll give Ukraine almost anything they ask for now
- Opinion - Germany is getting zinged unfairly on the issue of tanks now - there are a ton of reports that the Gepard antiaircraft systems were a game changer in Kharkiv and Germany is rushing to send 10 more - further opinion - NATO likely retired these too soon, would be interesting to see if a modernized version is reborn
- Russia has declared that men of service age won't able to leave Crimea in six days - which allows those with means to leave before the deadline because of course
- Power fully restored in Kharkiv and other areas after the missile attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure
- It has been zero days since Russia reminded the world they have nuclear weapons
- Paranoid Russian milbloggers now think Ukraine will launch a counteroffensive at Orikhiv - Ukrainian disinformation warfare is creating a lot of noise and the Russian online community is amplifying it - it is causing frustration among some analysts but we get it - and there are some things floating around that we won't comment on - with that said, we have zero knowledge if Ukraine is planning something bigger at Orikhiv or not - they have already had success there which is public knowledge, advancing 10 to 12 kilometers in the last month
- Ukrainian forces are finding more evidence of war crimes in recently liberated Kharkiv
- There was another meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in Ukraine - but the results were made public
- Russia's cease fire offer to Ukraine was laughable and instantly rejected
- Putin went to Sochi and it is rumored refusing to meet with military leaders
- Russian attempts to deescalate the situation in Armenia have completely failed - now if they only had a division of elite airborne forces trained to quickly come in and...ooooooo
- Elements of the Russian 102nd, which are peacekeepers in Armenia have been forced to pull out of some positions
- Denial is moving to anger not just in the milblogging community, but within the public sphere of Russia - some of it is directed internally and some of it externally - when Kremlin spokesperson Peskov was asked about it he said under the circumstances it was OK given the situation, but that some were moving close to the "line" - which the Kremlin appears to arbitrarily set depending on who is criticizing

2022-09-13 23:15:01 +0000 UTCRussian war strategy boggles the mind...giving guys 6 days to get out of Crimea...if they're going to mobilize the population, why not do it today. They won't have much to mobilize...which is bad for Russia, good for Ukraine.
2022-09-13 22:43:33 +0000 UTCMe too...because of course...lol
2022-09-13 22:41:05 +0000 UTCThere was a coup against him while he was in Crimea by parts of his government that failed. However it failed mostly to popular resistance lead by Yeltsin. Within months Soviet Union was dissolved.

2022-09-13 21:20:24 +0000 UTCSo Putin left Moscow for his vacation house on the Black Sea? He should ask Gorbachev how that worked out for him.
