Russian forces have reached the ponds and dam, same location they were stopped on September 26. They were pushed out of the forested area north of the eastern edge of the city. Anecdotal reports of some artillery shortages on the Russian side. Two issues, keeping artillery supplied due to consumption. Russian can't keep the huge ammo depots close to the front anymore due to HIMARS strikes and it is in the 40s and raining. They're reliant on a dirt road for their GLOC (supply line). The second issue is there are fewer overall artillery pieces than what was used for Severodonetsk/Lysychansk and you can't keep firing indefinitely. You have to allow the barrels to cool. So there are more lulls in barrages for these reasons.
The situation remains extremely difficult for both belligerents. The weather is favorable for Ukrainian forces through most of the week with rain through Monday AM and the coldest day being Wednesday, with a high of -1 C (30 F). It is above freezing with rain off and on the rest of the week.
