I don't remember one time that i slept through the night in my adult years. I've tried all manner of self help to alleviate the curse that is chronic insomnia. I had a really bad night a few days ago. I listened to the file about being in a cage and i know given a choice which one i would rather be in :) and it's not the one i want to escape from :( I have a weighted blanket that are supposedly helpful for those suffering from stress and or anxiety and mood disorders. So far it's not working... I have listened to many sleep files over the years that i have been listening to Sir. They bring me comfort when I don't feel so alone in the dead of night. Drugged sleep and Recovery Capsule are my go to files and have sent my mind to sleep for an hour or so at first but improving slowly up to two hours now, but I've had this for so long my mind wakes up at intervals all through the night. It's all it's ever known. But i do appreciate any amount of rest i get however brief :) To be perfectly clear i see hypnosis as my escapism somewhere where i can take my daydreams and imagination to somewhere magical, very different even out of my comfort zone initially at first. As i told a mental health professional long ago i don't need or want therapy i need respite and i get that when i listen to a trusted recreational hypnotist. :) ... And when listening to a sleep file, in my mind i tell myself to let my body relax as i always feel tension in my body and my hands always start off like they are gripping something...most like holding onto my sanity... But regardless of whether or how much i sleep, these files do quiet things down for my tired mind and increasingly tired body... I have so many things to be thankful for with hypnosis for and many things yet to do and experience. I'm not going to say i try my best I'm going to say i do my best and what i can, when i can or circumstances allow. It been a good start to the year in other ways. I'm sure Sir knows why and what I'm alluding to ;). But it is exhaustive at times. Anyway thank you as always for everything you do, for the time care and effort and also for myself and fellow insomniacs out there that get respite and relief from your files :) ❤️
