I am trying to decide between these two: a large, elephantine leaf eating beast, or a tiny nimble hummingbirrin.
What do ya'll think?

Actually since the ancestor had 4 sided symmetry, there is room to have the wings and a full set of limbs at the same time.

With the wing membranes being developed from the middle limbs to the rear, leaving smaller 'clawed' forward feet for prey catching? Just a random thought at 2:00 in the morning.

2016-02-06 18:31:32 +0000 UTCI like them both but the hummingbird is my favorite, if for no other reason that it's interesting to meet a flying member of the birrin family tree. That being said, you should pick the one *you* feel most enthousiastic about, we'd all benefit from that.
