Pitot-Static Lesson, Part 1
Added 2021-09-22 12:15:40 +0000 UTCHello Everyone! In this post you will find an introduction to presenting the Pitot-Static system to a student who is working on their Instrument Rating. You must remember that the student more than likely already holds a pilot certificate (either Private or Commercial), and you only need to review with them the particulars that are specific to instrument flying.
I always like to start off this lesson with a review of the material to see what I am getting myself into with my student, and to help me develop a plan of action which will better guide them through their training. I usually will give a copy of the POA to the student to allow them to be better prepared for their future lessons with me.
Please remember that this is not designed to teach YOU the material, but to try and explain how you would teach this material to a student. I will cover this more in the next post.
