Shining Song Starnova: Idol Empire Beta 17-2

In its current state the following is available in this build (although in most cases they have not been fully optimised): 

• Build different functioning rooms.
• Hire additional idols, adjust wage distribution and assign a center (your starting idol will always be Sasami with no center assigned).
• View the mood of your idols and any related conditions (including two character specific angry conditions: Nemu's yandere mode and Julie's disobedience).
• Boost the stats of your idols through the specific rooms. 
• Place furniture.
• Change the textures of walls and floors.
• Send idols on side jobs.
• Record songs.
• Perform a live (once three songs are recorded).
• Treat non anger related conditions in the sick bay.

In addition please note:

• Please note that the '$', 'DEC', 'FAME' and 'INFAMY' plants are not features and are only intended for testing purposes (they'll be removed at a later date).
• For now we're not compiling Mac and Linux versions partly as we don't have access to machines running these OS types therefore we would be unable to process logged issues unless it was also occurring on the Windows version. We will be returning to this topic at a later date though so rest assured Idol Empire won't be an exclusive Windows game. 

Job System

To trigger jobs you first need a fully functional Producer's office, you will then start attracting businessmen to visit your office who will be the ones to offer them. The type of businessmen you get depends on the combined popularity of your idols.

• <2000 - Mostly shady businessmen.
• 2000 -> 3999 - Mostly young businessmen.
• >4000 - Mostly young businessmen and executive businessmen.

• Shady businessmen will bring mostly well paying but perverted jobs.
• Young businessmen bring low paying regular jobs.
• Executive businessmen bring well paying and prestigious jobs.

• Young and executive businessmen pay attention to your office's DECOR, if you have a low DECOR then you will get lesser quality jobs. Shady businessmen don't care about office's DECOR in the same way however there is a chance that you can get a higher quality job if your DECOR is high.

Controls

Camera

Arrow Keys - Pan camera.

Holding Middle Mouse Button - Pan camera (using mouse).

Mouse Wheel - Zoom.

Idol Interaction

Left Mouse Click - Idol select (can also be done by clicking on their mood icon).

Right Mouse Click - Order action (such as using a room).

Rooms/Furniture

Left Mouse Click - Place.

Right Mouse Click - Cancel.

Middle Mouse Click (while holding furniture) - Rotate.

Holding Ctrl (while holding furniture) - Snap place.

Holding Shift (while holding furniture) - Place multiple.

Decoration

Holding Ctrl - Paintbrush mode (or one floor tile at a time).

Holding Shift - Hallway mode (or all floor tiles selected at once). Wall decorating can only do done inside a placed room, currently the base building walls cannot be decorated. Floors are unaffected and you can decorate the base building floor.

Save/Load

F5 - Create a save state (only one of these can exist, each use overwrites the previous).

F9 - Load save state.

If you press on the gear in the left hang corner there is a full save slot option with multiple slots, save states were the precursor system. There will be no save compatibility between versions regardless of how you create saves so once you move onto a new build we recommend removing or overwriting your previous saves to avoid the game crashing. In a similar sense we also recommend deleting the prefs.ini file for each new build as this too can lead to version compatibility issues. Save files and the prefs.ini file are available in '\AppData\Local\Starnova_Idol_Empire'.

Bug Reports / Issues

Please can feedback be reported on the forum, there is now a new section setup in tech support for Idol Empire where you can create a new thread explaining the issue you're having along with the replication method (if you have a reliable way to cause it) and if one is provided the error traceback.

Additionally when creating threads please start your title as Beta (*version number*): so that we're able identify which version you're using. For example if I was using Beta 17-2 and I was having trouble saving I could do. Beta (17-2): Unable to Save

Screenshots / Streaming

Please do not publish screenshots or live stream the builds at this stage, in their current form these builds are very much unfinished. If you're making bug reports / issues then these may be included in the post to help supplement your explanation.
