REACTION to F(x) - DRACULA, DIAMOND, RAINBOW, AIRPLANE & TOY B-SIDES

f(x)’s “experimental” sound definitely comes to play in making Red Velvet’s sound. Also. Airplane is a favorite song of mine but there are so many amazing besides that they have it’s pretty ridiculous. For a moment when you were having a moment during Toy’s instrumental break I just pictured the buffering icon above your head because you looked like someone spinner you around until you became confused and lost.

Yes, f(x) has a lot of what would become the foundation for Red Velvet! I think there are even 1 or 2 early Red Velvet songs where you can hear Amber in the back lol

All these songs are my favs from them I'm so glad you reacted to them. If I remember correctly RV's sound was supposed to be a mixture of SNSD and f(x).

Airplane will always be one of my favorite k-pop songs. Something about it just sounds so nostalgic and wholesome to me.

BLESS THIS REQUEST!!! Airplane is one of my favorite f(x) songs of all time. It fills me simultaneously with hope and nostalgia. Toy is INSANE (and I totally hear the RV comparison) and I live for every minute of it. Dracula is so dramatic and theatric and obviously resonates with the musical theater geek from Kernz past. Rainbow and Diamond are also great but the other three are just peak f(x). I miss them so much 😭

Red Light is SO GOOD I listen to that album all the time. A+! And you are NOT the only one to notice the similarity in sound. I remember back not long after RV debuted there were a lot of f(x) fans who were really bitter to SM, like "you're not only gonna drop f(x) and let them disappear, you're gonna give songs CLEARLY intended for f(x) to RV". (not meaning anything bad to the girls, just to the management).
