REACTION to SUPER JUNIOR - THE RENAISSANCE ALBUM

This album for me is mid tier. Magic, Sorry Sorry and Timeless are my favorites. Timeless I listened a crazy amount because it' really a no skip for me. For Sorry Sorry, every time I listen to it it reminds me why this was their breakout era, it's truly a masterpiece (if you like R&B) and the repack has It's you which I venerate and is a fan favorite. Magic was the first SuJu album I listened to and what got me into the group, I love that album so much. I also recommend checking out their sub-unit albums. They're all great. KRY if you want powerful ballads and D&E for more of a dance album.

The reason they delayed the album for so long was actually because they couldn't decide on a title track :)) It was supposed to be burn the floor, you can see that from the concept teasers as well but then they decided to do something more "trendy" apprently suggested by Lee Soo Man lol and the editing and arrangement of house party took a long time and took multiple tries so we have a 5 months late anniversarry album in the end. But I agree that it would be a "statement" if they kept burn the floor as a title track because it is something only Suju can do, bringing new concepts, trying new things and also amazing vocals. I am still sad at the lost potential but house party seems to receive good feedback at least. Though idk how I feel about a 15th anniversary title track being about a pandemic hahah I kinda ignore what it is about when I listen to it :D

I agree, this album is good but nowhere near some of their top tier albums.. I mean I might be biased from fond memories but Play, This is Love, Sorry Sorry and a few others are literally albums that show the full potential of suju and aged like fine wine as well!

Hey! Old time ELF here, I'm glad you enjoyed the album. Just to answer a a couple questions: 1) Heechul barely has lines cause he doesn't want them, he's said so himself. Since he's barely promoting on music shows and he's sitting out concerts as of last year he doesn't want to burden the group by having to re-distribute lines. The ones he does sing here are the songs they are promoting right now or had special clips. He's making an exception promoting on music shows this time since its their 15th anniversary album. 2) I'll be honest with you, this is a good album but... its actually not their even top 5 best albums they have, for me personally, at all. I liked it fine enough but they have some masterpiece albums out that would top this easy. Hopefully you get around to listening to them cause you won't be disappointed. If you ever have any questions about Suju I'll be happy to help, it's always great to see people giving them a chance!
