Heya Scott, the main inspiration for the Imperium trooper was a shield bug, I was sitting in my garden sketching one summer and one crawled onto my hand I was like “Yoooooo”. but yeah the design is mostly insectoid derived, the face is inspired by a barn owl, and the only real human bit is the human inside and the humanoid figure.
