2023-06-07 06:48:31 +0000 UTCThey’re for converting air and making it breathable. Honestly, it’s just a design aspect that I liked. In the early days, years and years ago, when I first came up with the Over-Fathers, I established a few visual motifs that make them identifiably what they are. I figured if I reuse certain elements of their design it would be immediately clear to the reader what they are when one appears in the book. There will be some in the future with a radically different appearance, though not so radical that you can’t tell that they’re Over-Fathers.
