phewm I said down a lot of marks with that first panel 😅 I’m really happy with how it turned out though. There will be additional lettering coming along with the colour-work explaining what exactly happened in that first panel and also what is happening in the last.
The colours for this one will be coming Monday 😁

There are things that he is going to learn over the rest of this flashback that will fervent his conviction to dissent against her. But you’ll see all that soon enough ☺️

Is he aware of all the other reasons to kill All-mother because of his experiences on the moon? Like does he know her “attitude“ towards other life, and how she manipulated life on earth? Or is he mostly caught up in the emotion of revenge for her trying to kill him right now?

And yes, that is indeed Losté, though his design will be slightly altered from that now, as I drew that a good while back. He’s going to have white hair when his hair grows back, something to do with the affect that stasis had on him.

2023-06-17 23:20:10 +0000 UTCThanks, Miningation! I’m pleased that came across in the writing ☺️ He’s got plenty of badass moments coming up, he is to become the leader of the resistance after all. I was going to add this additional bit to the speech, but I took it out. I could always add it back in with the coloured version of the page. Here it is: “you have made of me a nemesis, consider this my formal declaration of war on the Imperium and your monarchy over it.”. I wasn’t sure if it was too much and if what he has already said sums it up much to the same effect. The speech bubble would be in the point where all three panels meet so it really doesn’t eat up much of the illustrative work.

2023-06-16 20:28:56 +0000 UTCI know its probably to late for Jaramacus but since he seems to be really into melee maybe he would have a unit of drones with shields and swords fighting next to him like praetorians. Instead of fighting by themselves they are more like an extension of his body with specialized legs in order to close distances faster, in order to parry and block faster. For the other overfather that decide captured in the previous volume he could've had drones that are more priest like as he seemed to really like his space magic, that channel his psionic power so he could use it from different angles or something. Not complaing about your superb writing or the already unique and amazing designs you made but it would further add flavor to the story. I want to empathize you are already doing amazing work and your what made me want a patreon account as I adore this work.

2023-06-16 16:09:35 +0000 UTCAh cheers, that one took a while to plan out! they’re basically just surface structures for fully developed/hatched drones to take shelter/be stored in until they have another function to fulfil. I figured those incubation pits would constantly be being emptied in order to produce the next batch, surface structures offer necessary storage space. The aesthetic dimension to the buildings are purely for the Over-fathers and the All-mothers enjoyment. Oh I think you misunderstood what’s going on there, things will become more clear when I add the colour. The Imperium Wasps are firing missiles at the ground and that thing behind them is the exhaust plume.

Those gothic looking HG.Greiger cities are rather interesting, I always assumed that droned would just relentlessly toil in optimised womb chambers or be put into stasis. But it appears they have a culture? Also, what are those giant bulbous structures that are firing at the 'planes'?
