2023-06-21 20:17:59 +0000 UTCLove the added words from Deicide — it’s like a sweeping voice over while we zoom out with the fight plane I’m curious about the Amazon book description and if you’ve thought about optimizing the visible part before you click “read more”. To me your story has so much to offer in characters and visuals of other worlds that I would happy with one sentence on setting and then jumping right into our character’s plight before telling about the big, bad All-Mother. Something about humanity how abused their first alien encounter and almost paid for it with extinction would be a good hook too. And uninitiated reader, might see the Amazon description, and not realize the depth of your characters in artistry, before clicking to “read more” just a thought:)

It is undeniable that the imperium is utilitarian in nature, but it is not completely bereft of all aesthetic value and recurring motifs. The All-Mother understands the need to impose fear into the hearts of her enemies, the post-human face is an imperial symbol of the imperium that induces such fear in alien minds across the Orion arm. There is also some aesthetic value in it for both the All-mother and her Over-fathers.
