Here it is again in colour!

I’m just going to repost what I said in the last post in case people missed it.
“Introducing Fliegrigel, he’s an Over-Father that specialises in aquatic environments. Of course, he has the same full range of troops as other Over-Fathers, as do those other Over-Fathers have access to the same Aquatic units that Fliegrigel does. Aquatics is just Fliegrigel’s speciality.

Those ships that you see in the second panel are called Dreadnoughts, I’ve been brainstorming about them with a Patreon called Isaac (I’m sure he’ll perk up in the comments). Dreadnoughts are whale-human hybrid ships designed primarily for the use of descending from orbit, breaking through the shell of an icy moon and continuing on under the ice, but they can be used on a whole range of aquatic environments. Imagine one of these things poking it’s head through the ice and a platoon of scuba-drones streaming out from it’s mouth.”

I also just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all again for your continued support, I really don’t know where I’d be without it. Humanity Lost exists because you keep me fed and watered and I really do appreciate that!

I dunno, mobile infantrymen had tactical nukes. From what we've seen for now I would call them a match.

Viacheslav Zemlianski

Awesome! Thanks for the reply!

Okay there’s a lot there haha I’ll do my best to answer all of those here. 1) they do, their suits recycle their bodily excretions. 2) they do eat, their armour can process foreign foods, but the imperium provides Sustenance mostly. 3) a drone that has proven particularly skilful and receptive is named an exalted, there is variation between Drones and Over-Fathers. 4) specific drones are not made solely to become Over-Fathers, exceptional units are selected from the mass for exaltation. 5) you’ll see the reason why they look so different coming up in the current flashback that we’re in. 6) the All-mother is the one responsible for innovation within the Imperium. 7) The All-Mother does incorporate useful alien genes into imperium tech, it’s just that the assimilated Earth genes are more conducive with human ones because we are closer related. 8) an Alien cannot become an Over-Father.

Callum Diggle

Do over fathers urinate or defecate? Do over fathers eat? If a particularly talented drone eventually becomes an over father, is there variation in the drones? Is a drone specifically made to potentially be an over father? Deicide’s troops look different from the standard imperial troops in the current story. Do over fathers develop their own technology? Does the all mother develop new technology for the imperium? Why does the all mother only manipulate earth species and not all alien species she comes into contact with? Could there be an alien over father?

THEY’RE HERE!

Callum Diggle

I’d say you hit the nail on the head there, deep, hardy and grungy.

Callum Diggle

OH MY GOD, SEABORNE SPECIALIZED UNITS

Isaac Solar

This might sound like a dumb question, but what do you believe the over fathers/imperium soldiers' voices sound like? Idk why but I imagine Something like Tony Jay and Ron Pearlman mixed together. Like more grungy sounding

Logan

We’ll be back to the main plot before the end of this issue 😁 I just wanted to explore a bit of Deicides past and show off a bunch of new stuff off that I wouldn’t have been able to otherwise. The main story line will be resuming in the near future, it’ll feel like meeting an old friend when we get Losté back.

Callum Diggle

In most circumstances, yes. But in this scenario, standard Imperium forces stand little chance against an Over-Father, an Over-father really needs to be countered by an equal match to be taken out (either a Thought-Lord or another Over-Father). It makes sense for the troops to face each other whilst the Over-Fathers battle it out.

Callum Diggle

Haha always bro, how could I forget Charlie Horse!

Callum Diggle

Aye, variation is important to keeping the enemy on their toes. Deicide had no particular speciality as such, he was a rather run of the mill Over-Father. He leans more cerebral/psionic than physical though, that is of note.

Callum Diggle

How many more pages left till we see Loste back? would like to resume the previous adventure they are heading to.

gamerpro980

The naval units that he uses are available to all over-fathers, Fliegrigel just specialises with their use. With that being said, he no doubt has some elite aquatic units akin to navy seals, those ones behind him are just the aquatic variant of the standard drones.

Callum Diggle

Hmm I couldn’t really say because I’m always adding to the roster of troop types, but for now I’ll say that heavy troop from the scene where Deicide was on top of the incubation pit. Definitely 100 Drones, they have no fear and their lasers would cut them down more effectively than the assault rifles of the federation soldiers.

Callum Diggle

Now I want to see the all mother making human seal hybrids

Blas Borde

What do you think is the strongest non-Overfather troop in the Imperium? Also, could 100 drones beat 100 federation soldiers from Starship Troopers?

Erika Spooner

btw I know it's very cool for Over Fathers to fight along their soldiers, but wouldn't it make more sense for them to be in the background, ordering the troops away from danger?

Vovin_6

Glad to be a supporter. Remember me when you sell the movie rights. I could use another yacht!

Charlie Horse

Makes sense to me that different over-fathers would have different specialties. As soon as you're (you in the empire-wide sense) predictable, you're all the closer to being outsmarted and outmaneuvered. Did Deicide have a particular specialty before this career change?

Doofus the All-Knowing

Can it be said that Fliegrigel and the specialty of his forces are like the Navy SEALs?
