2021-07-10 22:46:11 +0000 UTC'How Can I SAW'? Really? 🤣 Seriously though, 'I Would' is the top of my list too. Near the top of any DAY6 list. Near the top of any list of any music. 'Man in a Movie' is probably next, followed by everything else (that's as much ranking as I can cope with)

Day6 are so cool. I love that they have a self written discography, along with the fact that they have four main vocalists instead of the usual one vocalist. I feel like they stand out that way and it's a big part of their success. It's unfortunate because they have not had an ot5 promotion period for so long, their last ot5 comeback was not promoted. Same with their last album with zombie as the title

Anyway, you commented on how some of their songs usually contrast (lyrics and sound) and in an interview that EoD just had, they explained that they love that type of contrast. As Young K said, it's like they're somehow putting hope/happiness (with the sound) in despair (with the lyrics). There are not much of those here in Sunrise because the sad songs really sound depressing as hell and the happy songs are such upbeat bops, but I just wanted to share it because you often notice it too! Regarding the sounds that listeners notice first, I think I personally gravitate to really noticing the vocals first. Especially when they pull off really interesting melodies, I can't help but just really concentrate on the vocals. When I re-listen to songs though, I think the guitars catch my attention next, and then the other vocal mixes/effects that they put in, and then the keys and then the bass and drums. I think it really varies too because we have different ears, and I noticed that I have difficulty hearing the low(?) end of the frequencies so there. 🤣 But again, thank you so much for this reaction! Looking forward to the next one. 🥰
