the way my love for Pretty Girl as the absolute banger that it is conflicts with my feelings about the lyrics lol. It's something my tween self would've thought was empowering but my grownup self recognizes as the "not like other girls" variety of internalized misogyny. siiigh. it's frustrating cuz with a few alterations it could just be about self-esteem, not trying to live up to conventional beauty standards etc. but there's a few lines that are undeniably icky to me. it's such a good song though fml it'll just go in the problematic faves playlist i guess

I am in the minority in f(x)-enjoyers in that Red Light is far and away my favorite of their albums, but Pink Tape has some seriously iconic songs. And I can't believe this is the first time I've seen the lyrics from Rum Pum Pum Pum to know that the Korean title is 'First Wisdom Tooth' XD that is a WILD metaphor to use in lyrics. Hot Damn but I love album listens <3
