Chillin'
Added 2021-05-23 08:34:09 +0000 UTCHope you're all having a relaxing weekend!
Just wanted to stop by and remind that while working HARD is important, hard work needs to be offset by rest and recovery. There isn't and effective process in the body where continuous stress is beneficial. Resting is so important, for balance, for contrast, and most of all, for recovery and repair. This is similar for your body and your brain. Muscle repair, cell repair, memory function, stress management, all of these things require you to stop... and rest in one way or another. I know it may seem counter intuitive, trust me I know, but it's true. The importance of things like sleep (a PROPER night of restful sleep, which allows you to process the happenings of the day, process memories and information, and general repair), meditation (which helps you manage stress, deal with emotions and connect to yourself), and actually taking me time, is something I've been learning somewhat recently and highly recommend you to have a peek into. There is no longevity in going 110% all the time, because eventually things will start to break down and your actual ability to work in the first place will falter.
Find your balance, remember to take time for yourself and your body, your mind and your creativity will thank you and reward you.
Hooking you guys up with a brand new edit this coming week! Then we have an extra (fifth) week this month so I'll have to figure out something special... Any suggestions guys?
