The Senas Cousins

I've been wanting to talk more about my stories and worldbuilding so I hope you all don't mind! I'm going to introduce y'all to some characters I've never really talked about in Legacy's universe!

These two are prominent characters in a side story I work on every so often called Threadbare Visions. It's my big indulgence with my very shameless self-insert (Gai'lik). Over time it's effectively become the way I self-reflect and critique myself haha. Gai'lik has all my charms and faults and I suppose it's my way of trying to learn to grow and be better.

The Senas cousins, Marcios and Rosanim (Ro), are well-known within their community. They live in the city of Hal'Orel, a bustling place on the borders of the Del and neighboring Creatik territory (I promise one of these days I'll make a map of Legacy's world). The Del have a constitutional monarchy which provides more leeway to the monarchy than not. As those of a long, illustrious noble lineage, the Senas family is treated with a great deal of respect. 

Marcios has a direct line in relation to the family on his mother's side and so has lived his life as nobility. In contrast, Ro comes from a side-branch but later in life adopted the name of Senas after great achievements in a war long gone by. For the most part, he's fairly detached from the main family and feels more at ease working at his father's clinic than in the Gold District at exclusive dinner parties.

To give some more detailed information on each:

Marcios - He's the ideal standard of masculine beauty to Delans. His picturesque features alongside his charming personality and wealthy family make him a highly sought after and popular man. It's to the point that he's been deemed the Sun of Hal'Orel, a beaming light that seems to overwhelm all those before him. In reality, whilst he is an attractive and friendly man, he's quite detached from people and finds greater interest in the arts and history. If he does find interest in others, it's often in a more mischievous way. He doesn't overtly antagonize people, but he enjoys putting them on the spot and teasing them. There's certainly a part of him that subconsciously considers himself and those of similar status superior to others. He won't treat anyone too differently, but you can tell by the way he interacts with people, that he isn't the kind that truly cares for the 'common folk.' Much of it is at the fault of his upbringing, but it is this particular attitude that has him and Ro butt heads every so often.

Rosanim - Or better known as Ro, he's almost more Creatik than he is Delan in some ways (meaning: he's a lot rowdier than is typical of people of the culture). He's somehow both painfully terse and enigmatic. He's unafraid to make his feelings known yet, similar to his cousin, enjoys to tease and toy with people to an extent (though he does this in a much more light-hearted way). He messes with you the way an old friend does, pranking you in harmless ways that you laugh at by the end. He's a well-known figure in the community as a reliable man, intimidating but kind at heart. He's lived his entire life working hard and later joining the military so he has a pretty no-nonsense attitude when it comes to resolve and doing work. Ro isn't retired or discharged from the military and so sits in a kind of limbo, ready to go back if needed, yet trying to get back into civilian life again. It's been a few years, but you can tell it's still with him a bit. As of late, he's taken a keen interest in helping at his father's clinic in earnest and is expected to inherit the business and practice.

Marcios and Ro knew each other since childhood though they never properly started hanging out until later in their lives. There's some tension between the two of them, especially when it comes to some of their political views, but overall the two get along well with each other. They're more brothers to each other and while not actively helping the other out, have never wished harm on the other. I can't say they're rooting for the other fully, but at the end of the day they have each other's backs. There's a playful antagonism between the two of them with many half-serious fights and more bickering than you could imagine, but it's in good fun. Their relationship could be summed up as "respectfully disagreeing."

I don't think I'd consider them opposites, but they're getting close in some ways. They're both the proud Delan men, yet in such drastic ways. There's certainly some jealousy between the two and perhaps one day they'll air out some of their grievances.

Alright, now in relation to Threadbare Vision and what's up, Marcios patrons a Seer, a kind of priest that has a direct contract with a god to be able to use futuresight and see snippets of the future. Turns out, Gai'lik ends up being said Seer. Ro on the other hand has already previously met Gai'lik when he'd previously visited Ro's father's clinic. Anyways it is a self-indulgent story and I like hot men so do not even perceive me or what that story is about. Long story short, two very sexy men teach a twink the values of self-worth or something.
