I think the really important part is that she can be a hella scary monster at will anyway. I really doubt the qualifications for the daeva race are lesser than that of the asura, so it would be really odd if it weren't an upgrade. Probably not an absolute upgrade over the matriarch, but I bet that upgraded star-forge skill is an indicator. I bet the matriarch wouldn't get that, or anything other than nominal enhancements to asura changeling related skills. The succubus? What about it? What sucky butt? Edit: Also feel kinda bad for Daniel this chapter. The flak he is catching isn't entirely deserved. Or even mostly deserved. He barely had any input to this SNAFU.

The fusion of all her fire skills into primordial spark is an insane upgrade in power and versatility. It opens 3 skill slots.

The cambion thing being the next step is good... you never want to pick a terminal evolution that implies there will be no further evolutions in these kind of things. At least not without some kind of respec option.
