[Salvos] 554. Storm of the Void (Removed for KU)

(Removed for KU)

Comments

Not every Grand Skill is an attack skill or even a combat skill. This is a Grand Skill that allows her to exist even in the void between worlds, controlled entirely by her. I'm sure in combat it could probably be used to subdue enemies and sort of lock them in place where she can attack them easily.

AuraMaster

Masterful.

WingedIkaros

Yep, 4 grand skills at level 164.

Danielv123

Great chapter.

Sancturillore -- Élie Simard-Wallot

I approve something a silly as non-existence isn’t enough to get rid of her. At least not when she still has her sayian pride.

Kristeen Livesay

It's probably very similar to Belzu's grand skill in function, but I'd agree that it's probably more for moving between worlds than for use in combat. Still, if she can drag others into the pocket dimension, that could work like the prison ring she got. She's used it to both trap enemies temporarily and move them into a space where she can 1v1 them without interruptions. Both are great.

Tarodan

Usually corruption simply took over the magic and returned it to the caster. Corruption works differently from anti-magic. But it could mimick that effect too, probably.

Alexey Gladkich

I would think corruption would be a delete in the sense that it would corrupt something so bad that it wouldn’t exist anymore. Like if it hits a fire spell could delete the mana from the spell or the element of the spell to make it weak thus stopping the original effect(s). It’s not a direct delete ability.

IdolTrust

To me it seems that the [Claw of Corruption] creates two corrupted clawed hands... that do corrupted stuff. It's not like Clayton's disintegration GS.

Alexey Gladkich

Wow two GS. So the claw would be like a delete ability. And the World of my mind would be like imagination power creation so I would think she could make her own dimension or kingdom.

IdolTrust

The way it written, it seems the GS overrides reality with whatever she imagines. Its' primary use is not for combat but for traveling between realms as the place between worlds is utter void. It might be able to grow and gain other effects like creating full realms. And it can definitely be used in combat as well by placing opponents in terrible dimensions or separating them. Also it should have passive effects like Inventory, Demensional Barriers, etc..

Alexey Gladkich

Grand Skills normally have a long cooldown, but this was a merger of two regular skills; I wonder if that means it has a short/no cooldown.

Cha0sniper

It’s the merger of the 2 other skills, so it must be a transcendent dimensional skill. No longer limited by moving her body in or out of dimensions. Her mind defines what the fabric of existence is around her.

darkmuch

Can’t she just send someone to her pocket world and then try to crush them lol. Or it’s a good defensive technique. Let’s say someone has a skill like Clayton’s annihilation skill. She can activate this to outlast the attack. Seems it could be versatile though of course we know very little

Derek Walker

I mean, I don't see how it can help her in combat except running away

Mohammed Sheekh

It probably sends people into another world-like pocket dimension created and controlled by her thoughts because it was created from the pocket dimension skill. Its a grand skill so its probably op.

Brakeson

The Wyvern didn't get the GS, that's why she went out of control. The GS was the same for Ancient Centinel and the Wyvern.

Alexey Gladkich

True, I had forgotten about that. Was thinking more of the Wyvern, because wasn't it's skill name corrupted from the get-go? Which should at least imply that Salvos will be in control, like the Ancient Centinel was.

Cha0sniper

Claw of corruption is self explanatory but I fail to understand what (world of my mind) does, anyone explain ease?

Mohammed Sheekh

@Cha0sniper corruption skills don't have a name with "?????", as we've seen with Salvos and the Ancient Centinel.

Gonvas

I think this seems right. I think in the same way she has a skill [corruption navigation] which is about corruption but still seems like a normal system skill, this grand skill will work in the same way.

Derek Walker

Well, it may have the word Corruption in the name, but the name itself isn't drowned in that corrupted speech font. So she's probably fine?

Cha0sniper

No. It is just very rare occurence to get a Grand Skill. Very few get 1, not to mention 2, under level 150. And very few above 150 have more than 2. Clayton has only 3 and we don't know of anyone else with 3 or more (except obviously various gods).

Alexey Gladkich

Salvos impresses yet again; repeating history by learning two Grand Skills at once. And one of them being a corruption Grand Skill?! I honestly thought they were anathemic to each other and completely incompatible. This is a feat for the ages no doubt. God, that scene with Salvos nearly getting erased was pog. It felt the same the as the moment you first introduced Salvos to Belzu's trippy illusions, great job and great chapter Delta!

Ihaxlikenoob

Well, she is tapping into godhood, so maybe she can have more

William Laurence

So true

Melone

So she has now 4 Grand Skills. Although one of them belongs to corruption. She just can't help herself, she always has to gain two at once. Question: Wasn't she told that people gave at most 3 GS? Or are the others just not as good as her?

Firinen

Hell yeah! Pun intended btw. This chapter was awesome. Two whole Grand Skills! I like how you know when to give Salvos new Skills and when to let her struggle for a while... makes these moments alot more poignant. Also [Claw of Corruption] sounds like it could proof problematic if used in the wrong circumstances.

Vincebourgh

Captdeth

Damn, this chapter was amazing! Did I misread or did she get not one but two of them?! That ending too. Damn, this is exciting af. Super excited for her sub-class advancement too.
