No worries on the formatting, and glad you liked the traveler scene... I had a lot of fun writing that one. As to pacing, I don't want to make any promises but I've been told by beta readers that it really picks up around this point. I suspect it's going to vary by person, but I got really good feedback for the back half of the book. It's a bit hard for me to tell personally.

2024-01-22 23:14:48 +0000 UTCThanks for the Chapter, I quite enjoyed the meeting between Nyx and those unsuspecting travelers xD I do fear that I have to echo concerns others have raised about the pacing. While I enjoy the story, and also the in depth look at the system and your willingness to play by your own rules (so far :p) and not pull things out of nowhere, we have spent roughly 13 chapters of these 23 Chapters Shopping and it looks like the next one will continue in that vein. Additionally, about 5 Chapters were a whole other story altogether, completely unconnected from the throughline (so far at least). Thats a lot of time spent shopping (or spent crawling through menus/notifications/etc). Its not all bad, since I quite like the pace of progression that Infinity got so far, but I fear if that slows down any time soon, my reading experience at least will suffer. Sorry for the terrible formatting, I have no idea how to add line breaks when typing from my phone

I need a better way to track information for my own use as the software I was using is shutting down (and really could barely handle what I'm doing with it) so I'm making my own thing and will make it public once I have it in a good state. It's unfortunately one of the things slowing me down on moving on to book 2, but I'm hoping the investment will pay off in the long run.

You might want to create a google doc with all current information on Skills , Titles and Achviements. Your story is information dense, and it would come in hand being able to re-read details in her abilities without having to comb thorough chapters.
