2024-07-04 22:38:06 +0000 UTCI wonder what Regnorex might be getting wrong; we are watching this from the Salvos perspective and we thus know more than he likely does. From his perspective, Salvos teleported from the portal and wasn't seen since. Haec went AWOL with Taburas, Aemula and Bertrugil. Venas and his team were sent to retrieve him, but were mysteriously destroyed. The second, bigger death squad team was sent to investigate and retrieve Haec, and was also destroyed, other than the two members whose signal was intermittently seen on the way to the Third Legion. There, energy discharges were perceived, consistent with a big battle, after which Hartia and the two death squad members were no longer detected and are presumed dead. After that, increasing numbers of 3rd legion members are destroyed. Since Regnorex is a slave to his own nature, he will interpret the evidence from this perspective. He will conclude that the Venas team was probably destroyed by the Beast, or Haec managed to seduce half of them to treason, and the rest of the team attacked them and they were all killed. The second team was somehow also destroyed, probably due to infighting and treason, and the two surviving traitors lead Haec and his minions to the 3rd legion, where he presumably wanted to take revenge on Hartia over some past insult. The battle between Haec, Ultis and Aliq on one side, and Hartia on the other, ended when Hartia, Ultis and Aliq were killed, and then Haec started killing the legion members en masse in order to level, because he was planning an insurgency. Indeed, after he killed everybody, he then started spreading the rebellion and recruiting the slave demons to his cause, gathering them all in one place. This all happened before Rakin managed to raise any kind of an alarm, because that's when Haec noticed that the enemies are converging at their position and called Salvos. Essentially, there's no reason to assume that either Regnorex or his minions know anything about Salvos' involvement in this rebellion, since no survivors came back to tell the tale. It is possible yet unlikely that Oracli cast a vision to see what's going on there, unlikely because Regnorex would want him to keep monitoring the important developments related to the ritual, and this minor affair would be delegated to the military and the Death Squad leader. So, instead of preparing for a super-powerful singular entity of Salvos, who can apparently wipe out two death squads and free a significant percentage of his slave army within days, Regnorex will expect results of internecine fighting within death squad, and Haec at level 160 due to killing some hundreds of thousands of greater and lesser demons, and, presumably, some archdemons and primevals, surrounded by an army of minions. However, since much is unclear and suspicious about the whole affair, several units of death squad under personal control of their leader will be sent to supervise from a distance and report back if needed.

I think that's unlikely, but [Call of Armageddon] will happen ;) I think no matter what level or evolution, everyone in the Demon Lord's Army is ruled by fear. If Salvos shows that she has a solid chance against Reggie, most demons with a choice will either run or back her up.

Salvos will have to cull those numbers quickly, for several reasons. First, she needs to level. Second, she needs to simplify the situation for the battle with Regnorex, because if she needs to cut her way through 900 primeval demons to get to Regnorex, she's not winning that fight. They need to feed her strength, not his. And third, if those primevals inflict serious casualties on the liberati, which is actually likely, Haec's "strategy" will backfire, and everybody is actually going to end up blaming Salvos for the mess, because she's what they see. If, however, she manages to get most of the liberati survive, she's going to get all the credit. I wonder how that will play out. However, there absolutely needs to be a big fight before Regnorex gets involved, because she needs to be closer to 190 than 170. Also, she needs to level those grand skills, and get some practice with her new abilities. Also, it would be nice if Haec and others levelled. On the other hand, someone like Aemula might easily die, so I hope Salvos keeps a clone nearby. Also, the question is, how many of the primevals and archdemons are actually loyal to Regnorex, and how many will switch sides? So far, the legion bosses were loyal, and the soldier-slaves were not. What if in the first two legions the soldiers are actually loyal? That would of course end badly for them, but our friendly archdemons might actually level from fighting them without getting into anything too deadly. Salvos is in a position where she can kill 150-190 primevals with such ease that she absolutely needs to do so quickly and efficiently in order to level for the boss fight. Of course, with her luck she is going to get an evolution only after she survives Regnorex, but she needs those stats badly if she is to have a chance. And she also needs actual friends in that fight, who will take care of her if she's hurt. Bertrugil is close enough to an evolution, if he wins enough fights, so that might be interesting. Also, if Taburas evolves, I think there are no more Succubus evolutions so she might evolve out of her yandere self, which might be interesting.

It's probably just leave the collars where they are, and vacate the area immediately. Then isolate the leaders and crunch them. However, if this is a response to the rebellion, and it seems to be, I would expect several death squad groups to be adjacent. This is going to be a serious shit show.

She saw Hartia remove the collars a couple of times and decided "That's kinda neat, I'mma copy that real quick and make a grand spell outta it, that cool?" Don't tell me that shockwave also hit the enemy too? Kekw, that's a recipe for pandemonium, lotta demons aren't truly loyal to ol' Reggie that's for sure. Salvos might straight up get a new Title for this, she possible could've unchained millions of demons with just one move.
