Restructuring The Universe - Part 2

I've mentioned why I wanted to restructure the Aucti-verse, but not exactly how. In case you've missed part one, here's the post if you're interested. This post will contain spoilers regarding the Aucti-verse, so if you want to keep it a mystery and/or have it explored gradually through future entries, stop reading now! For those still here, let's get started.

So in the previous part, I mentioned something about Zento's being the pillars. Let me first explain about that before delving deeper. Way back, I made a set of images regarding Mitsuki, someone blessed by the gods to carry the children of the future. I ended up mixing that with my actual universe, with some tweaks to the Mitsuki concept. With the biggest change being that the blessing was done through a statue instead. And as that image just showed, that statue is actually an factor in the current world. And that statue has recently awakened and is affecting people, of which most of them are my OCs.

The old version had it so that they all had lineage to Mitsuki, with the genes being the main reason why they are so different. Some were  diluted, but others were stronger. And the Zento's were the 'purest'. The ones with the most potential. And each new character that came after, had some sort of lineage to Mitsuki as well. But as time passed on... it made little sense. Why did the most 'pure' women start out with normal count pregnancies? And people like Tessa Bleu had crazy high numbers. Plus the linage idea was just way too far fetched. So all that needed change.

I first changed the workings of the statue. Now, before Mitsuki got blessed by it, it was already active by making women larger and more fertile. But because of Mitsuki's tribe being heavily wounded, it used all of its power to bless Mitsuki. That resulted in her being extremely fertile, but was empty afterwards. And over the course of hundreds (or thousands) of years, it slowly regained it's power back. Someone or something activated it in early 2000 (currently 2015 in Aucti-verse). But I'm still working out the details. I hope to make it somehow relatable to Victoria, which is already tasked with discovering the truth behind the statue. In any case, it activated and it continued doing the same thing; Making women curvy AF.

But it first reached out to those still familiar to her, those with lineage to Mitsuki. Those are flagged the 1st generation and are the oldest OCs. Victoria, Gwen, Cresida, Ivana and Milly/Millie. Those bunch only had a few years of 'exposure' before their puberty ended, which is where the statue does most of the work. And after a break of several years, influence grew and more people were affected. That would be the 2nd generation. Alexia, Tessa, June, Yuuka and Kim. But unlike Gen 1, lineage doesn't play a role anymore, only those that have potential/luck. And this will continue as the years pass by. The statue increases the strength of it's effects and more and more people are affected, with the sizes constantly increasing. So who knows how big some will be when Gen 5 comes along? Susan, Sidney and Molly (left two) are Gen 3. But while the max size is gradually increasing, there will still be people who are less affected or not at all. Susan in this case, is not as affected by the statue, not like Sidney is.

Does all of this seem confusing? With my history of explaining things, probably. When you boil it down; There are now generations (or waves if you will) of people who are affected differently. All my OCs are currently sorted in 1 of the 3 current wave/generations, with a large number of unmentioned people who also are.

This setup is definitely more future-proof. It allows me to still create characters who are smaller, as well as significantly bigger, as long as they're in the later waves/generations. I'm still not sure how much of this will eventually be revealed publicly. Some things are better left vague to leave the mystery in. However, I do hope to show the generation/wave aspect of things. The tease that people will be bigger as time passes will probably be very interesting from an outside perspective. That as well as how the city (or even world) adjusts to the peculiar changes.
