Susan #101 - Yoga Class

So what I said in that retrospective... It very well could've just been a case of me being too strict with the outline. Only when I allowed myself to step away from the outline, did the other options present themselves. I will still opt to shorten or summarize entries if I feel to need to, but perhaps I don't need to rely much on that at all!

Anyway yeah enough rambling from me. Susan's recent growth is on proper display now!

January 5, 2018 - (11 days after #100, 28 weeks into Susan's pregnancy)

“Now, raise your right leg onto the block slowly.” The class teacher instructed with her soft and soothing voice. Every couple in the room listened to her instructions, while they touch palms with one another. The poses weren’t too difficult on their own, each pair managed to follow just fine. All but for Susan.

Even with a lower height requirement, she needed a fair bit of help raising her feet onto the block. With no support from handrailing, all Susan could rely on was Nathan. With effectively one less hand to balance each, it was a surprising arduous process. It was a far cry from Blair, who was still larger by normal standards, that managed to follow the instructions just fine with her hulking partner providing ample support.

Susan and Nathan were both nervous coming into the yoga class, each with their own reasoning. He relied on his poor eyesight to not focus on the women around him. Meanwhile for Susan, her wardrobe was clearly becoming insufficient to cover her growing body. The playful top she bought only several months ago, as well as her sweatpants needed constant adjustment to keep things where they were supposed to be. Her fears were justified as Nathan had to pull up her pants on several occasions during the session, as she was slowly becoming unable to do so herself.

The class went by relatively quickly with no hiccups. Susan’s back had no complaints, the teacher had made sure they would skip poses that put strain on the backs. Water bottles were handed out, to which Susan chugged down her own in one go.

“Suu I have to say...” Blair walked to the two. “That sidetail of yours is just too cute. It looks really good on you.”

Susan immediately flushed, brushing the tail with her hand. “R-really? I thought keeping it loose would just get in the way so I...”

“I told you!” Nathan interjected, chuckling before looking at Blair. “For some reason she didn’t believe me.”

“Don’t take it personally Nathan, us women can be like that sometimes. Right hun?” Blair looked up to the towering figure next to her.

“Huh, what? I uhm... don’t have enough context for th-” He got shushed off by Blair.

“Juuust say yes.” She sighed before clearing her throat. “Logan, this is Susan and Nathan. And vise versa~”

“Well met.” Logan shook both of their hands, not noticing the slight confused faces on either of them. He reserved himself behind Blair.

“Twins looks really good on you too.” Susan blurted out, not wanting to take in compliments without giving some out herself.

“Thanks~ They seem to be bigger than normal, whiiich... you don’t happen to know why?” She looked up while poking Logan with her elbow. He smiled nervously, conceding with whatever Blair suggested.

Nathan chuckled at their interaction, while looking down the room with his glasses on. His face went through several strange expressions. Susan quickly caught wind of this.

“Something wrong, Nathan?”

“It’s uh, it’s nothing. She just seems familiar, the teacher. Just trying to figure out from what...”

“Oh?” One one way to find out.” Blair said before waving the teacher over. Nathan held his forehead in frustration, forgetting how blunt the short blonde could be. In truth he already knew who she was, he had his suspicions back at the swimming pool.

“Good work everyone.” The woman said.

“Thank you, now... Nathan here thinks he recognizes you from somewhere.” Blair not waiting a second.

“Oh?” She tilted her head, inspecting Nathan closer. His cheeks start to blush slightly.

“Is it uhm... possible that you... b-babysat a long time ago for the Ward family?” He muttered out.

The woman narrowed her eyes. Then sprung wide open. “Ward! You’re that Nathan aren’t you?! Oh gosh...”

All Nathan could do was nod. Next to him, Susan gasped before slapping him on his arm. “You almost bailed out on your promise!”

“W-What!? We still could’ve talked to her after- plus it wasn’t like I was that certain...”

The teacher laughed. “I see you’ve told Susan about me.”

“W-well... you know it’s just... kinda... you know...” He scratched his head while fumbling over his words.

“Simply put, he had a crush on you.” Susan said with a grin.

“SUSAN!!”

“I had figured as much! Never had I babysat such a sweet and thoughtful kid before. Back then I thought, he really must’ve liked me.”

Susan tried to hold back her laughter.

“Oh.” The teacher said with a smile  “I guess that was more true than I suspected.”

Nathan meanwhile looked away, wishing he could disappear or somehow revert the events of today. Realizing the situation, Susan threw an arm around him. “H-he’s really, really sweet to me though!!”

Nathan mustered his courage to face them again. “It was a long time ago now, Susan’s the one I was meant to be with. Even if you... were the one setting me on my path.”

The teacher smiled. “Well hopefully I was a good influence then.”

Susan smirked at Nathan, kissing him on the cheek. “Better than you could ever know.”

“The... two of you are quite something alright...” The teacher said, “I’m glad that the two of you found each other, whatever makes you happier is all that matters.”

Nathan’s heart was relieved to hear it. It would still be extremely awkward whenever she was around, but it certainly could’ve been worse. That’s when he looked over to Blair with a giant grin on her face. It was obvious she had evil plans in store for him.

After the awkward pauses, the conversation returned to mostly normal as the teacher had to prepare for the next class. They said their goodbyes to Blair and Logan and left to head back home. During the car ride, Nathan questioned whether or not Blair had to come to her birthday that was coming in two weeks.
