Let's go Back to Work!

Hey everyone!

Phew! It’s been a tough couple of weeks. Although I did manage to get a bit of rest from work. But things seem to have settled down now — I’ve moved to Bangkok for what I expect will be the next 5 months, and then I’ll be moving to Seoul for 3 months for medical reasons. At least that’s the plan for now. But anything can happen :)

And now, back to work!
Honestly, there’s not that much left to do for the demo version.
Unfortunately, Steam didn’t approve my store page without first reviewing a preliminary build of the game — they’re asking me to submit any build for review. So that’s what I’m doing first: sending them a build and continuing development while I wait for their verdict. The review may take about two weeks.

Most likely, by the time they respond, the version I want to release for you will already be ready — and then I’ll release the demo for you to check out.

But there’s also a bad-case scenario: they might ask me to fix something…

And in that case, the demo release might be delayed while I deal with Steam. How long will that take? I have no idea. They often don’t say exactly what the issue is — instead, they give vague feedback and you’re left guessing what they actually meant and what exactly needs fixing.

Why this synchronization with Steam?
Because I hope to get a lot of wishlists from the demo release here — and I want to time it with the launch of the Steam page. I'm not 100% sure, but a surge of wishlists right after the page goes live might help boost its visibility on Steam. That’s how it worked with my last game, and I’d really like to repeat that success.

But! If Steam asks me to finish the game before approving the page, and this could theoretically happen, then we won't wait for the Steam page to appear, I'll publish the game here right away.

Okay. I'm off to work. :) No pictures today, because nothing particularly new has been added, and I don't want to spoil the game once again :)
