Merchant ship WIP
Added 2019-01-20 17:05:09 +0000 UTCHi everyone, just a quick wip on the merchant ship. Managed to get the bulk of the work done this weekend. Setting up the ship's compartments and figuring out how I'm going to cut this for printing has been challenging. I will be running test prints on the blockout to make sure all parts can fit on the plate and put together again.
I also test printed a thin sheet of PLA to see if we can use this for the sail. It's rather thin, and If I have time I might try to add some sort of crest onto it. However, the sail might turn out to be quite big so putting it together may be another challenge!
I plan to have the bottom removable so that when it's not on display and "in-game" it could be sitting on a sea-like base rather than the display stand.

It'll be a nice little test to get the printer dialled in! I still need to work on that :)
