The kitchen smelled like coffee, cinnamon, and something darker — something hotter, electric in the air.

I stood barefoot on the cold tile, my silk robe slipping from my shoulders, my skin already tingling with anticipation. I could feel his eyes trailing over me from across the room, lazy and hungry.

"Come here," he said.

I crossed the room slowly, deliberately, hips swaying, heart racing.
