Posting early, because the rest of my work for this month is under NDA for now and the Kodan piece will be published per ANet request around the later part of the week.
The Kodan painting is an idea that's been rattling around my skull for way over a year now. I've been yammering on about wanting playable Kodan for seven years and counting now, and since Guild Wars is now obviously heading to its northern lands, this was as good a time as any to revisit this. Kodan lore has some basic set ups, like being led by a Voice and a Claw, but finer details of the race are still very much a blank slate. I've been filling in the gaps with headcanons to pass the time, this being one of them.
August was also Tennak's birthday, which means a gift is in order. Kreittis asked for a combat shot of breaking a spell. I'm taking my sweet time with this as usual, because I'm embarassingly slow when I want to make things look good and this boy deserves the best I have. I'm still not entirely convinced I want to go with B (I'm tempted by the prospect of screwing around with the crazy color range), so I'll spend some time poking around both before I fully commit.
