I have a large stash of unfinished paintings, with lof of the Semper Fidelis related ones coming from the time of my overall patreon/art downtime, so I may as well play catchup a bit. Out of all of them, these are the ones I'm fond of the most and keep wanting to finish (most of them by starting over).
1. Vartan's not exactly an outspoken type, but he has a broad range of telegraphs that say a lot without saying anything. I really want to finish this one, but it's been a while since I used grayscale painting.
2. Being dead, Tessa doesn't get much story presence, but that doesn't mean I didn't develop her past the whole "dead person with a face" thing. She was an engineer and problem solver, way too inventive for her own good. Back then, this failed at me not having her imagination when it came to complex engineering, so the only thing I could come up with was one sad pipe.
3. The newest addition to the pile which I still want to finish, I just got kind of stuck in the background/foreground thing. But I can always go for more Lambert playing knight.
4. The oldest in this set which I want to finish the most. I still like the composition, so it's pretty much just a question of how good I am at rendering and anatomy these days to rework it. And... getting over Bary's tatoo giving me a headache.
5. The Veles staff is one of the Artifacts that pop up a lot in the early stories as one of those things "we technically have and is really useful but has a price you don't really want to pay unless you're seriously desperate". Dealing with old Slav gods always required a sacrifice, after all. Probably not gonna finish this one though, because as much as I like the pose and want to do something with this particular stick, I kind of... ruined it for myself:
