July 2020 Wrap-Up

Welcome to another wrap-up where we look at the past month and what is about to come in the future.

This whole year has been very weird for all of us so thank you so much for your continuous support. I really appreciate that!

Over the last weeks I have been working on the score for a short film that I can't share too much about yet. However, I will cover the work on it in the near future here.

The most exciting thing for me however is that I will FINALLY be attending a scoring session again next week to record this score. The last time I was in a studio recording an orchestra was on February 20th which feels like an eternity ago. So I'm really looking forward to travelling to Prague.

Also, since I've last been there, Smecky Studios (in which I'll record) has received a major overhaul so I'm curious to see and hear how things have changed there.

As you might have seen, I started a new multi part series today covering the things that need to be considered before, during and after a scoring session with a real orchestra. I will of course also continue the series about orchestral voicings, Hero and Gazing at the Night Sky so there is a lot of content currently lining up.
