November 2020 - Wrap Up
Added 2020-11-30 11:05:07 +0000 UTCIt is time again for a monthly summary and looking into the near future for this Patreon site. I hope you're all well and healthy. At first of course, thank you for your ongoing support, I really appreciate it. Also, welcome to the few new patrons from this month!
As the past few months have already shown, it seems like the growth of this Patreon has stopped. However, I didn't do much to spread the word about it beyond my own social media channels and I haven't seen the advert for my page yet that Patreon asked me to provide material for a few weeks ago.
As I said a wile ago, it would be my goal to be able to regularly fund full orchestral sessions and invite patrons to them but that would need a considerably higher revenue for this page. If you like what I'm doing here and know anybody who might be interested in this as well, I would appreciate a recommendation.
I'm planning on doing a bit more proactive PR work for this page after the first Orchestra Discovery Session that should hopefully attract a few more people.
Speaking of. As I promised, I will launch the first Orchestra Discovery Session in the next days so keep your eyes peeled!
Other than that, I constantly get a lot of questions whether I recommend sample library X, what are the downsides of it, what I like, how I use it etc. So I was thinking that maybe I should write an article once in a while that showcases a library and also expresses my honest opinion about it and why/if I use it. I know that a few of you are here who are not interested in the tech side at all while others are really keen on digging deeper into that. As I don't receive free copies by any developer I could also be rather blunt with my opinion on these things.
I figured it might be a good idea to once again launch a poll first to see how you guys like the idea. So please cast your vote below.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to finally see the first Orchestra Discovery Session come to life and hope that it will turn out as I expect it to. Thanks again for being here and supporting me on this Patreon. As always, if you have any comments, critizism or would like to see me talk about a specific topic, please don't hesitate to write me a message.
Robin
Here's the poll: How do you like the idea of showcasing a sample library once in a while in an article and writing my honest opinion about it?
