1st Orchestra Discovery Session - Winners Announcement

A few months ago, I introduced the ORCHESTRA DISCOVERY SESSION that are exclusively happening here on this Patreon. In a nutshell, I'm inviting some of you to record their own music with a professional ensemble. The first session we will have will be with a Woodwind Quintet towards the end of the first half of 2021.

I invited you to apply for this session in early December of last year, sending over some of your music.

I'm really happy about the applications I got from people with various musical background and degrees of experience. 

I got only five applications which sets me in the comfortable position to not needing to dissappoint anybody. All five applications were at a quite high level where it absolutely makes sense to take the step and record with live musicians and take a unique learning experience from it. I'm sure we're all in for some amazing music that will come out of this project.

So here are the winners who will be recording their own 2 minute piece for Woodwind Quintet:

Congratulations! I'm really looking forward to what you guys come up with and hope to meet you all in person when we record this in Prague.

Having said that, you all are aware of the current Covid situation so I'm not entirely sure when we will be able to record. I also want this to be a fun experience with everybody feeling reasonably safe to travel there if they desire so, so I would prefer waiting for as long as it takes instead of forcing something to happen when not everybody is feeling comfortable.

I will contact you guys in the next time talking how things will progress from here but feel free to get your minds set on this piece already. Don't forget to document your thought process though (be it written, as audio file or video) as we of course all want to take part in your creative processes.
