The way the pieces articulate with&into each other, padded with leather to create defense like a "machine of ablation". They say the best defense is a good offense so with massive pauldrons (had to google how to spell that) to throw your shoulder into something or someone TOO BAD NONE OF THAT'S PRESENT HERE! ha ha ha! j/k. it still looks cool
