Added 2021-03-04 17:15:33 +0000 UTC華人喜歡儲蓄，洋人習慣以信用卡先使未來錢。但其實千辛萬苦在銀行戶口多了一個零，又如何？這一個零，可能令你不敢離開現在的comfort zone，以為在外國生存不了、薪金低很多，結果因為守住一個戶口，卻失去了個人自由。我們又以為物業保值，但2047也好、99年約也好，其實都不保證真的「永恆」。忽然間，一個家變得面目全非，即使你依然有同等收入，同樣的數字，這數字能換取的utility，卻已經急降，因為無論怎樣消費，都已經不快樂。 在過去一年，表面上，我們失去了很多東西；在個人層面，金錢、物質，我明顯失去了很多東西。但想深一層，那些要是沒有失去，也早已沒有了本來的價值，何須在意；而過程中，認清了自己，也認清了別人，卻會找到人生的方向，忽然對未來的路，一片澄明。 給暫時承受煎熬的朋友：只要望向這一步之後的未來，我們是光明的，文明的，屬於世界的。這可以叫煲底之約，也可以說是阿斯蘭之約，只要明白了何謂無常，就知道終生的等待，卻是何等的理所當然，自己人，就會心照。

這幾個月我都經歷不少，亦想起無常一詞，明知是無常又如何處理?好想去叩問得道高僧，限聚令下又哪裏尋訪？心裏只有轉念，既然明知是無常而人生充滿無常，唯有保守內心平靜吧。願你平安丶快樂丶祥和🙏🏻

In the perspective of Buddhism, experiencing something disappearing could be a merit to oneself as you will never think of the truth of the world when you are in the happy bubble. As Laotsz puts, "禍兮福所倚，福兮禍所伏", people tend to enjoy their "Brave New World" when they are doing well even the city has already been dying. Now though it seems a catastrophe to many people, but people are getting out of the comfort zone and thinking more about what Hong Kong is. The process of being a butterfly is always painful. Speaking of what Hong Kong is, I highly recommend a book called "Mūlamadhyamakakārikā" （中論）, which talks about whether things really exist or not by logic and not religious at all. Based on its theory, while Hong Kong doesn't quite exist in the first place, it's not necessary to feel sad when it seems disappearing. Something new will definitely be created just like the chaos in China completed the fabulous Hong Kong last century. If people did not feel nowhere to go at that time, would they still be so united? I may doubt it. Cheer up!
