October end of month update 2024

Hello everyone!

Sorry for the delay, hope you all had a good Halloween.

Time for a quick update for you all.

This whole month we focused on getting combat items finished as well as some of the new systems to support it. We also finished up the skill tree to work with the new teammates as well.

Combat items has been a large undertaking that we've been trying to finish for a bit. With this last push, we got it mostly working. I hope to release a test build soon. (Had some delays as I waited for the save system to get it's update, also I got sick for a week.)

Aside from that delay, I'm feeling a lot more confident about the release date for steam. November will be our deciding factor if I am able to finally lock in the release date for early access.

We decided to go with item packs. You can put items like bandages into a medkit, each bandages will fill the uses up to a max amount the pack can hold and you can use that in combat, for a set amount of healing/recovery. The idea is that you are putting items into your belt for quick access. This will be an add on to the supply packing system. New art is being created for it. You saw a peak of it last post.

With this system you can craft items to help recover HP, SP, MP, LP during combat.

Everyone else is helping out where they can. Mostly we are getting the new code in while getting parts of the story into the game.

That will be the update. Please keep an eye out, later this week or early next week, I will have another dirty build out to test the combat items with dual combat. Thank you for the support as always.

I'm pretty excited for it. :3 Once I get that system working with saves, it's basically done and integrated. So glad to be finally crossing it off the work list.
