A slight delay. Game News 5/29

Hey folks I got some news. I'm sorry for the lack of daily updates from me. Life has been really draining and I've been putting off telling you guys what was going on. So here's the deal. My last job was slowly draining me dry. I was working for a print company where I was being paid a crap wage and at the same time my our rent went up to the point that we were going to have to move next month.

Well things came to a point over FWA, I made a whole paycheck at the artist alley in a day! Ended up quitting and decided to go freelance again once I got back. When I first started EOK, I was able to put 30 hours into the game almost weekly, so monthly updates at the start were bigger. As bills started to pile, I slowly started taking hours at that terrible print company to help with bills. The only thing they had going for them was that they were very flexible. I could take a few days off for Eok to finish an update. But now with the rent cost and everything costing more it was impossible to do that.

So I'm back to freelance.... or I would be saying that if a local rival print company didn't hear that I was quitting and hired me on the spot with full time and the best pay I've ever had.  (AHH!)  So yeah.. that's what I've been doing this past week, I was at the new job. It's great being able to work for a living wage and because of my new pay, I can afford not to move!

Sadly, this barely left any time for EOK, I tried to work on it but I'm not used to the new job schedule. Because of that, I am pausing the payment cycle for this coming month. I know I won't be able to finish anything to justify charging you wonderful people. Heck, the save system still have plenty of bugs, that needs killing. So I'm going to focus getting used to this new schedule and making sure July's update will be a good one. Thank you all for being here, I am looking forward to alpha and I hope you'll all stick around.

(Final note: Also because of the new wage, I think I might be able to swing hiring some team members! or at least get some commission help. This should help making the updated better and help fill the gaps in time that my new job would take away from EOK. )
