【國際短評🇺🇸】美國親俄左翼大本營：網媒《Scheerpost》可信嗎？
Added 2022-04-20 03:01:01 +0000 UTC俄羅斯除了在烏克蘭境內狂轟濫炸，亦積極對外發動資訊戰。繼中國《央視》全力配合俄方製作有關「美國對烏克蘭人進行活體研究」之類的「新聞」，美國左翼網上媒體《Scheerpost》亦多次為俄羅斯護航，將戰爭起因歸咎於美國的意圖和北約的擴張。究竟這類國際媒體的背景如何，影響力又有多大？
根據《Scheerpost》網站介紹，該網媒現任總編輯為擁有60年採訪經驗、曾於多間媒體工作、並訪問過至少4位美國總統的Robert Scheer。基於媒體的名稱與他的姓氏一樣，估計他亦為《Scheerpost》的創辦人，惟網站並沒有特別確認這一點，只稱Robert Scheer為總編輯。《Scheerpost》主要報導政治、國際和社會新聞，若果單純以新聞取向、角度和用字而言，這家媒體並本身只是左傾，未見得十分「親俄」。
不過，《Scheerpost》有不少專欄作家在網站定期發表評論，當中以曾在俄羅斯駐美國國營媒體（RT America）主持節目的Chris Hedges最值得關注。
俄烏戰爭爆發後，Chris Hedges於2月27日以《最大的邪惡是戰爭》為題發表的評論，最具代表性。文章第一句即表示「俄羅斯是被誘入戰爭當中」，並認為若非美國打破與俄羅斯之間的一系列協議，當中包括將北約擴展到德國邊界之外，以及在東歐部署數千名北約軍隊，「（俄羅斯）對烏克蘭的入侵就不會發生。」他又指俄羅斯完全有權感到「威脅、背叛和憤怒」，「但理解不是縱容，根據後紐倫堡法律，入侵烏克蘭是一場帶有罪惡的侵略戰爭。」這種既同情俄羅斯、又「反戰」的觀點，可說是「左膠」基本盤。
Lee Camp，另一位定期被《Scheerpost》轉載影片於網站發表的時事喜劇演員，亦在4月3日以《這場戰爭實際上是與銀行業的集中化有關》為題發表評論。他在影片中提到，俄烏戰爭實際上是一場「專門設計用於維持美國經濟霸權」的代理人戰爭，聲稱俄羅斯在今年一月，曾打算和中國建立一個可繞過SWIFT的結算系統，而以往不少國家（他舉出的例子為伊拉克和利比亞）打算脫離美元結算體系後，都遭到美國入侵或北約轟炸，暗示今次戰爭是美國為保障經濟地位而一手促成。
此外，網站不少新聞，都明顯偏袒俄方，不贅。
上述評論人有否接受俄羅斯資助，繼而發表「親俄反美」言論，還是純粹出於個人政治理念，暫時不得而知。雖然這類觀點此刻並非主流，不過一旦戰爭持續，影響美國內部經濟，美國大眾逐漸對戰事感到厭倦和疲乏，這類觀點就可能廣為流傳，令美國政府因群眾壓力改變政策，而這正是越戰期間發生過的往事。
一旦中國侵台，類似網站屆時發揮甚麼作用，就更值得關注。

Another one of these bones to pick type articles from professor Shen unfortunately. Scheer definitely was a prominent journalist, but just like Kam mentioned above, fox news first. And while you're at it, pls also tackle Florida stripping Disney for protest of their don't say gay. Really who actually engages in culture war nowadays is plain to see. But even cultured thinkers have their own sets of world views that they can choose to voice in their platform.

2022-04-22 04:26:29 +0000 UTC美國本土不但極左有親俄言論，極右同樣親俄，而且唔係小網站，而係Tucker Carlson等有大量觀眾之流。之前更有極左反戰人仕，公開表示，雖然跟極右派有相同意見有點尷尬，但事實勝於雄辯云云。

In a despotic regime with no free media, it leaves outsiders a large room for how to evaluate such opinion. Yet it still provides us a lens through which we can to a certain extent see Russians’ reactions to this war. From all appearances, Putin is eagerly seizing on inflation serving as an anathema to the west together with the anticipation that Ukrainian supporters’ compassion to the victims will be gradually tapering off in a ceaseless conflict, rather than on his victory on the eastern Ukraine’s battlefields, to pierce the west's unprecedented economic bans on Russia and constant military support to Ukraine. Putin and his nation, on the one hand, is being pushed into a corner where any defeat that may risk the veneer of legitimacy for his regime can be ill afforded. The west, the US in particular, on the other hand won’t easily let go of the opportunity of annihilating Russia’s threat to liberal democracy and of undermining its significant role in the axis of evil that has long wracked its brains to challenge American supremacy. This stalemate is likely an endurance-focused race between Russia’s resistance to moving its economy toward the brink of collapse and the tolerance of its people toward economic hardship and the sustained support of the west and its people under the high inflation environment.
