【YouTube背後🎬】從尤德學者協會聲明談起
Added 2022-07-15 13:02:00 +0000 UTC「新香港」究竟處於怎樣的精神狀態，從這個小故事可見一斑。早前和尤德學者協會理事會主席Michael做了一個訪問，他只是說自己移民英國，和講述自己對尤德爵士紀念獎學金的淵源，據說牆內就出現了溫馨提示，需要這個alumni出聲割蓆，很是此地無銀。其實小朋友要出這類聲明，有100種相對得體、又能交功課的方式，這理應是獎學金得主顯示智慧的時候。

The association’s response is the epitome of the new HK’s political ecosystem - anything can hit a nerve of fear in an ordinary Hongkonger. This incident, among many others, is the net - and well-conceived - result of the interaction between distrust and fear that have deeply been infiltrated into the people still in HK. Many have then spontaneously and proactively set the bar low in all respects, lending a hand with the regime at remaking this city. Everyone is fearful of deviating a bit from the party line, of not severing his connection with any “hot-button” issues, of not disavowing his own values and belief and of showing not enough abhorrence and disgust for any “intentions” of undermining national security, among others largely imagined on their own. Normal people whose minds have already been filled with air of resignation are exhausted - both physically and mentally - from the emotional drain of constantly evading dynamic red lines. Only people of no soul and slaves of depravity can survive with a city being hollowed out in bulk its advantages and virtues.
