Arcade: Terran Elite
Added 2015-08-12 23:40:15 +0000 UTCHere's a peek at the Arcade game Terran Elite. It's a side scrolling shooter with a feel of Gradius. There are some HTH characters that visit the arcade that have their own high scores in the system. If you beat those scores, you'll be able to unlock special scenes with the character.
In this game, you get to choose your ship, upgrade your weapons, while you navigate through 7 unique zones and an increasing variety of obstacles, while trying to earn bonuses and staying alive long enough to take on the Bosses!

If I'm allowed to be a little more curious though, and just ask one more bold question, remember how I expressed an interest in the hopes that the two Xira designs wouldn't conform to one another? Can you guys talk about your intent with that now? I understand if they undergo slight updates to make them look more defined/aesthetically pleasing, but can you guys confirm the end result models will adhere to the basis of the original design? Sorry to pester you all, and feel free to keep it secret (I just really like black-haired Xira for some reason).

2015-08-14 07:38:24 +0000 UTCI really wish there was a better system for commenting. I think because this just feels so open and public. But, now to the actual focus of the comment. I was browsing through the pictures you guys put up for Terran Elite. And I couldn't help but notice the image relating to the existence of a Terran Elite character named "Commander Xira." Judging how they're both, apparently, leopards, I take it the Xira from Xira: Trials of the Labyrinth and the Xira from Terran Elite are the same character model? Obviously, being separate games taking place in (apparently) separate franchises, they're not the same exact character. Like, if detail were to ever reveal the history and backstory of both Xiras that they'd be radically different. But, I assumed they were supposed to be a reference to one another, which is pretty neat. And that's why the character models (From what we can see), appear so similar. I just wanted to say that I love the looks of both Xiras and that they fit they're prospective games very well. But, I am concerned. For, if my assumption is right about them being intentionally the same design, would that mean one of them might conform more to how the other one looks? Like, I noticed the Xira in Terran Elite seems to have a paler shade of fur, closer to a snow leopard and black (for lack of better word) head-hair. Whilst the Xira from Xira: Trials of the Labyrinth definitely had red head-hair and her fur seems have more browns/yellows in it more akin to regular leopards. I just wanted to voice my feelings on the matter that I think the designs of both are fine for their respective games, and that one shouldn't necessarily have to adapt to the others. But, hey, I'm not making this game, so, ultimately you guys do what you want. I think I just care so much because I loved the look of Emma in High Tail Hall before her sprite was removed (presumably because of location updates, that her sprite needed to be updated, or simply because there wasn't any interaction with her available yet and you guys didn't want to leave that specific character there when she couldn't be interacted with). And I've been waiting for a while for her to come back, but I understand the ETA deal, that's all good and well. At least Xira might tide me over until then. I mean, I know there's a male snow leopard (Keith) I believe, and he's alright. I just find the female sprites you guys have made of leopards to be more appealing so far. Also, that moment when I could be dead wrong and Xira could be a cheetah, but I'm fairly certain because of the spots that she's a leopard. Also, I know that you guys have said before in universe that the fictional High Tail Hall company dabbles in a lot of fields, including game development? Would it be a stretch to say that these games are (in-universe) made by High Tail Hall in a stent to stretch out into games with less adult themes? Would it also be fair to say that they might have used some employees in this game to model characters off of? And, from there, would it really be a stretch to say that Xira, or at least an HTH model who looks a lot like her, might actually show up as a character in the game proper (that is - regular HTH)? Yes, yes, I know it's a stretch; and I understand if you want to keep it all under your collective hats? But, can you tell me if there's at least a chance? Your loyal follower, Yjirn
