Player Character Designs: What about Humans?
Added 2015-11-16 07:45:17 +0000 UTCOur stance on humans and primate characters has usually been met with a no. The reason for that was because the payment processor and bank we were doing business with wouldn’t allow anything human resembling in the game.
Good news everyone!
We are no longer working with that bank or payment processor anymore. This means we are free to put whatever we want into HTH Studios games. Since the main focus right now is the player character creator, there will be a human option clearly labeled in the player character creator. No more default. In the future, if you see undefined it will mean that there is an error. To fix it all you have to do is start over by creating a new character. This also means that there will be a primate section in the player character creator and you’ll be able to select from a list of primates to play as in game.
Now what about having a human character available to interact with in game? There will not be any human characters to find on the island. We are offering the option of playing as a human because you the player are visiting the island, so you are a guest that has been transported to this world.
Regarding primate characters, we’ve always said that we wanted to put lemurs in the game. And who wouldn’t with those awesomely fluffy tails?! We are not sure what other types of primate character we’ll have, it’s all really up in the air right now. It’s something that we’ll get to at a later time.
For those of you wondering why were not using this payment processor or bank anymore it’s because they too have decided not to support adult companies. We move on like we always do when this happens. Fortunately in this circumstance switching companies has made things a lot easier overall.
Thank you for your support moving forward.

The idea with allowing a human player model to play is in game is for the people out there who don't like playing with a furry body/player model. It's also largely a semantics thing as we were not allowed to acknowledge humans in the game prior to changing banks and processors. Now we can without an issue, which was what we wanted from the beginning.

2015-11-22 05:38:44 +0000 UTCI'm riding the fence on this one, so I'm gonna have to organize my thoughts a bit. As for primates being playable characters: on the one hand, it might be nifty to play as a human, but at the same time I feel having a human come to an island where there are no human NPCs would be a bit strange. The rest of the primates, though, would be neat to have if just for making more options. In the case of having primate NPCs: As I said above, if we have human as a playable character, I'd like to see at least two human NPCs, one of each gender. If humans NPCs aren't included, I'd settle for just having a lemur NPC or two, as I am not personally a fan of how apes and monkeys look when anthropomorphosized. So tl;dr: Only have humans as playable characters if human NPCs are introduced. Other primate PC options are fine. If human NPCs are still not going to be implemented, I wouldn't mind seeing a nice curvy lemur girl, but apes and monkeys aren't my preference. Whatever you guys do, though, I'm sure it'll be great in the end.

2015-11-17 05:34:27 +0000 UTCNice to see that you can finally do primates. Especially since a few like the bush babies don't look anything like humans because of those fingers and big eyes. I agree lemurs have fluffy tails although I think Jade could rival in that department with hers. As for the human part... well I've got nothing to say to that.
