Exciting New Patreon Feature!
Added 2016-05-12 02:15:22 +0000 UTCPatreon has rolled out a new payment feature, and we're part of the few that get to test it out! We can now charged patrons immediately upon pledging! This means that there should no longer be any more month-long waits to get a gold member key with our auto pay pledge tier. Patrons will get their gold key as soon as their card is charged.
This will only affect new patrons. Existing patrons will get charged at the first of the month as usual.
This will cut down on the wait for rewards under our auto renewal tier, and prevent people from lurking without supporting.
What about Patrons who increase their pledge amount?
Patrons who increase their pledge amount will immediately be charged
the difference between their previous pledge level and their new pledge
level. For example a Patron was charged $10 on March 1st. They edit
their pledge to $15 on March 7th. On March 7th they are charged $5 to
bring the total paid by this patron in March up to $15.
What about Patrons who decrease their pledge amount?
Patrons who decrease their pledge amount will be charged the new amount
on the 1st of the month. They will not be refunded anything.

I love how the new system makes pledgers pay up front. No more sketchy people who get access for a month for free then drop. I understand that's a problem. Anyway, liking the new system, plus your pledge amount has just gone up steadily since. As soon as my Wedding has come to pass, I'll switch to a steady seven to ten dollars a month.
