Any apparent difference from the post-Soviet structure? Yes. Any fundamental change in the nature of ruling? Unfortunately, no. Perhaps even worse.

Without a complete overhaul of the political structure, the fate of dictators is just like a political reincarnation. It would only have a short-term impact and not bring about any positive changes for their countries. Yet one thing for sure is that their successors would be very happy to inherit their legacy of an unlimited term and singular leadership and to package it into an intoxicating form that can appeal to the populism-influenced public.

2024-03-22 00:51:05 +0000 UTC純個人觀點： 普京係梟雄型獨裁者，對個銜頭唔係好著重，對佢嚟講，鍾意嘅話，下屆唔選，搵個扯線公仔出嚟玩一屆，再下屆出返嚟都冇問題。最重要係權力喺佢度，個銜頭可有可無。呢類人，必要時，作個新嘅銜頭出嚟凌駕最高領導嘅銜頭之上都可以。 習近平係王莽型獨裁者，扭扭擰擰，又想做，又唔想人話，一定要搞到係群星拱照、萬人擁護，自己盛情難卻，不得不做嗰種。呢一類，一定緊抓個銜頭唔放手。雖然明明佢嘅權力唔係來自個銜頭，但佢偏偏會自卑感作祟，覺得如果冇咗個銜頭，人哋就會郁到佢。
