身邊不少朋友支持賀錦麗,只是因為非常討厭特朗普。而他們討厭特朗普,主要覺得他違反了一切私德標準,個人並沒有任何理念可言,只是對權力著迷,不惜一切鬥倒對手,諸如此類,所以「不可能是我的領袖」。這裏不評論特朗普本人和任何人的德行,純粹希望釐清一個很根本的問題:民主制度和權力制衡原則的設計,本來就是為了方便大家選出充滿缺點的人,或一些人心目中的「壞人」,因為只要制度完善,「壞人」在那個位置上,因為有企圖心、而又不可以越界,客觀效果就自然會成為「好人」;反之一個「好人」在差的制度,總會變成惡棍。

這不是說教,而是有清晰計算的……

Morality matters because one of the most important jobs of a leader is to lead. If a leader does not behave morally, you can count on it that the people working for him / with him / under him will not behave much better. Organisational culture reflects the personality of the chief executive, it reverberates from top to bottom. If the CEO is dishonest, sooner or later you look around, the marketing people start misrepresenting product functionalities a bit more, the finance people start reporting numbers more aggressively, the production people start overstating their progress a bit further, just look at Intel. If the CEO is irresponsible and unreliable, you will find similar traits in the organisational behaviour, making it difficult to function. If the CEO has little empathy, that’s how the organisation will treat their employees. Ruining a company’s culture is not the fastest way but one of the surest way to ruin a company. I don’t have the research on how that applies to a nation, people can form their own opinion.
