The problem with modern war? It’s kinda unbalanced! Today on Incoming we look at how depictions of a third global war are frequently absurd.

world in conflict did a good job. in 89 soviet hardliners seized control and launched an invasion of europe. nato mobilized and germany turned into a meat grinder. a few months later a silent fleet of cargo ships smuggled an army group into seattle. slipping by the us navy is a little more plausible after a few months of war that could have put strain on naval resources, not to mention the main focus would be on alaska. most american forces have been sent off to fight leaving precious few troops to meet the soviets. the goal of the invasion is the star wars HQ in colorado to disable the american missile defenses. the program never worked but the russians dont know it and the americans have to keep up the charade even using a nuke to halt the russian advance

With the current rise of radical, alt right groups and corporate privitization of small militias, terrorist organizations could spark and violent assaults against citizens could occurred in favor of rascal, religious, or cultural supremacy or territorial gain for profits and control or resources. The US Army guards would establish outposts in local towns and cities to keep these organizations at bay. Meanwhile corporations that are involved in these conflict quickly covers up their connections to the hired militias that carry out their tasks.

Which parties would be involved in an American civil war?

What about a second American civil war or another cold war with china? Of course there is the always popular nuclear fallout. Terrorism is a more realistic, modern war that I can think of.

That one certainly sounds interesting...
