The planets that have held the original Antares colonies hold significant historical and ecological value that would be lost if they would be converted into typical garden worlds.

Noble members. Antares stands as a beacon for the entire galaxy: a place thought impossible to inhabit has been tamed. And now those who are oppressed, imprisoned, or denied their rights as sentient beings can look to the stars, knowing out there is a place where they will be welcomed. We may have struggled, and suffered, in our efforts to reach this point. But we suffered through those things so our children and their children would not have to. If we are able to make our worlds capable of sustaining any sentient life, regardless of origin, should we not do so? As the ultimate symbol of why Antares, alone in the galaxy, stands open to all who are willing to come to seek a new beginning.

I oppose. The resources needed for terraforming are needed for many other causes, from maintaining our fleets and armies for an inevitable war against the UTP and the Screk, to the construction of orbital habitats and stations, to the reconstruction of our allies in the ATO, to the social welfare of our growing populations. The anti-Tavurite bias underlying this drive is unworthy of Antareans. And the plant and animal life on Antarean worlds that sustained us during centuries of trials - from the oceans of Embasora to the caves of Tehnali to the plains of Retiva and Jut-Fareed - deserves better than to be penned up in "preserved" land to meet the designs of central planners and bureaucrats. If we must terraform, let us bring life to worlds where there is none, rather than spend resources defacing existing life in service of ephemeral "progress."

It is my opinion that this level of terraforming should be restricted to use on worlds outside the core system. The distinct ecosystems of the founding planets should be preserved. Who knows what discoveries are still waiting to be uncovered that could beneficial to the population. Let the worlds of antares to stand to commemorate the struggles that have been endured to not only survive but thrive.

It is the destiny of Ziva to become holy! For our worlds to become perfect representations of the Prophet's will. The Vran have shown us the way. Those who oppose this holy purpose, who cling to the past based on reasons of preserving diversity, are no better than the Screk Archivists, whom are known for their obsession with preservation. We must become greater than the contemptable Screk, less we follow in their footsteps.

Isn't there more than enough space already ? Is it really necessary to destroy the miracles of nature ? It would be the honour of Antares to preserve the ragged and harsh beauty of the system, to remember the hardships endured by the Flotilla. And to create a paradise is to take the risk of going soft and losing one's edge.

Colonizing the antares system was the first and greatest achievment our people ever reached. Every river bridged is a monument to our persistence, every abandoned city a tombstone for all the people who died trying to ensure the surival of our people. How could we get rid of all of this? This is our history, let it be an inspiration to all, wether if born in antares or somewhere else together we can conquer all obstacles. Alhambra Biotech votes against terraforming.

Agreed. This has the potential to drastically alter or completely nullify vast portions of the worldbuilding and writing that’s gone into the various nations over the months. At least a vote on each planet to determine whether or not to terraform it.

Regardless of the fact that i don't think it's the good way to go for many reasons, such a decisions should ultimately be discussed and perhaps voted on the Senate, as the vast repercussions this will have on the RP means the non-patreon members of the roleplay should have a chance to express their opinions about it
