Referendum on the National Flag of Antares
Added 2020-08-11 16:29:47 +0000 UTCWith the Antares Confederacy selected as the focus of Stellaris Invicta Season II, we can now delve deep into worldbuilding and establish the history and identity of the nation. As someone once said, “this is where the fun starts up”.
The first issue that requires your attention is that of selecting a national flag for the Confederate Republics of Antares. While I was very happy with the symbol previously established, there was an opportunity to refine the design and make it a bit more aesthetically pleasing.
Submitted for your approval are three designs, as well as a primer on the symbolism behind their shared elements. Make your selection carefully! However, we are trying something new on this poll and allowing multiple votes if there are multiple designs you'd be okay with. This is our best effort to replicate the option of ranked choices.
Edit: As per ancient tradition. Option 3 has been misspelled as "Green Cluster" instead of "Gold Cluster". Someone will be fired for this.

My vote is option 2. I feel like its simplicity and the openness without a border better represent the confederation's acknowledgement that their future lies beyond their single planet of origin.

2020-08-12 08:55:56 +0000 UTCI prefer the Golden Cluster... I like the dynamic of the third color, it makes the cluster of stars pop more, and personally the idea of it being painted on the hull of a ship is preposterous anyway.
