Akuyaku Reijou ni Nanka Narimasen - Chapter 565, 566, 567

Rosarinjas, marching out!
Following Rinka's deduction, we proceeded deeper and deeper underground. Unlike the extra dungeon, where collapse isn't a concern, we couldn't afford to create shortcuts. Instead, we relied on Rinka's exceptional memory to guide us along the shortest route.

When we arrived at the 11th underground floor, Geraldin-san was visibly deflated.

"Geraldin-san, what about Pochi!?"

"Still haven't found him..."

He looked unusually dejected. It's hard to scold someone like this. Even the Protectors of the Amethyst seemed grim... The air was chilling. Angry, are you? I understand.

"Otousan... I always thought you were a fool, but this is beyond belief. If anything happens to Pochi, a defenseless person like him, I’ll never forgive you."

"Kyuu... kyuun..."

"Answer me!"

"Y-yes!"

At this point, it's unclear who's the parent here. A father being lectured by his son.

"If something happens to Pochi, I won't forgive you either."

"!?! You can talk?!"

Nex, who rarely speaks and whose expressions are hard to read, was visibly... no, genuinely furious.

"That's not the issue right now, is it? Stop joking around, old man. What are you going to do if something happens to Pochi? You’re such an idiot—go run yourself ragged and find him!"

Ah, he's genuinely enraged. Ernst and Ordo are shaken! Even I'm shaken! Geraldin-san's tail is tucked firmly between his legs!

"Jend's papa."

"Y-yes?"

Oh, my solace! Mary-tan!

"If something happens to Pochi... Mary will never forgive you. Nex is right. Stop standing around whining here... go find Pochi and bring him back!!"

Mary was furious too! No solace here!

"Waooooon!!"

Crying, the old man ran off. It seems the mental blow from Mary, with whom he’d been relatively close, was particularly effective.

"Rosarin, we've searched most of this floor, but Pochi doesn’t seem to be here. By the way, what's with Rinka’s strange outfit?"

"This is..."

"A child in appearance! A fujoshi in intellect! The name’s Detective Rinka!!"

"Let’s keep the jokes to a minimum right now."

I delivered a sharp flick to his forehead. What an incorrigible fool. I said no jokes! Still, after determining that Pochi wasn’t on this floor, we told the old man to keep searching—clearly, anger drives persistence.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch! Based on my deductions, I don't think he's on this floor either!"

"You just said he was either here or on the floor below!"

"Earlier, there was talk about a Rosarin-like beauty, right? I think the situation might have changed! Instead of going up, it would make more sense to head down to the boss room and teleport away!"

"I see."

We then informed the Protectors of that there’s a high possibility Pochi had become Wolfanea Boy No. 6. Also, it seemed there was a Rosarin-like woman present. Seriously, who could that be?

"Nya-ha-ha-ha! Transform! Wolfanea Girl!"

Mary transformed. Adorable.

"My suit is strong, so I’ll just ask if anyone’s seen someone wearing the same outfit as Boy No. 6! Nya-ha-ha-ha-ha!"

"Transform! Wolfanea Boy No. 2!"

Ordo transformed too. He’s quite into it. Striking poses, even.

"Transform! Wolfanea Boy No. 4!"

Ernst joined in with enthusiasm. Not really the time for this, but glad they’re having fun.

"Transform... Wolfanea Boy No. 5."

Nex transformed too, gazing intently at Jend.

"Fine, I’ll do it, okay!? Wolfanea Boy No. 1!!"

"Might as well include No. 3!"

"Transform! Wolfanea Boy No. 3!!"

Even Kou transformed. Everyone except Jend was fully on board.

"Wolfanea Boy No. 1!!"

Now fully resigned.

"Wolfanea Boy No. 2!"

"Wolfanea Boy No. 3!"

"Wolfanea Boy No. 4!"

"Wolfanea Boy No. 5!"

"Wolfanea Girl!"

(Victory is ours! Wolfanea Squad, Rosarinjas!!)

Lined up in a row, they smoothly slid their upper bodies in a circular motion. By shifting slightly, their faces—or rather, their masks—became visible in turn. Each pointed finger indicated their lineup order. Brilliant. For the record, only Mary struck a cute cat pose.

"Bravo! Bravo!!"

"Fantastic! So cool!!"

I and Rinka applauded their perfectly synchronized movements.

"Now, it’s my turn to transform!"

"What!?"

I tied my hair up and donned a military-style outfit complete with a white cape.

"Wolfanea Commander!!"

(Ooooh~!!)

Everyone applauded.

"That’s unfair! You look seriously cool!"

"Haha! I just remembered—the Commander has a communication function! It can connect via a special line with all Wolfanea Boys!"

"Rosarin."

"...Yes?"

"You forgot, didn’t you?"

"... Yeah. Sorry!"

We quickly tried to communicate. There was some static interference, but it seemed functional.

"Pochi, are you safe!?"

"Oneechan...? Zzz... I’m safe... zz."

"I’ll come rescue you right away!"

"Strong... zz... Luke... sorry... zz... focusing... zz... disconnecting now..."

Hmm? We made contact, but the signal—or was it the magic power?—was weak. The connection dropped, but we confirmed Pochi’s safety. Everyone but Rinka likely heard the transmission as well.

"Pochi... thank goodness."

"Pochi... seems okay."

"Pochi... we have to save him."

"Seems luck is on our side."

"Relieved..."

Jend, Mary, Nex, Ordo, and Kou looked visibly relieved. Given the situation, they seemed to have braced for the worst, and tears welled up in their eyes.

Though Ernst didn’t know Pochi as long, their collaborative crafting had made them friends, and he seemed equally relieved.

"Oh, I need to tell everyone Pochi is safe."

"Wait."

"Huh?"

"Don’t tell Otousan."

The hero’s son was expressionless. Dead serious.

"Not everyone is as strong as him. Taking someone defenseless to a place like this and losing them? That’s irresponsible, isn’t it?"

The hero’s son delivered a sound argument. His smile was terrifying.

"And what’s the real reason?"

"A good lesson, wouldn’t you say?"

Later, I saw the old man crying out for Pochi as he searched. Yet, I couldn’t bring myself to tell him the truth.

Geraldin-san, your son has grown into someone remarkable in every sense!

----------

Complicated information.
As the Wolfanea Commander, I decided to get serious. Let me explain! The Wolfanea Commander has special abilities!

"Commander Ale!!"

The entire Wolfanea Squad—Rosarinjas—was enveloped in white light.

"What is this...?"

"Nyaa!? I'm full of energy!"

"This is incredible..."

"My strength is..."

"Even my magic power is amplified?"

"......... (clenching and unclenching fists)"

"Fuhahaha! Allow me to explain! The Commander Ale doubles the performance of the Rosarinja suits! And the effect lasts until I cancel it! Now, go forth, warriors!!"

(Rooosariiin!!)

"Wait! Why are you choosing that as the war cry again!?"

But my retort fell on deaf ears as the Rosarinjas dashed away at incredible speed.

"... It's like everyone's battle cry now... Ow, ow, ow! What's with the rope!? I apologize, okay!?"

"Enough nonsense!"

Grumbling at Rinka, I decided to move forward. It seems this floor has already been thoroughly searched.

We had a lead on Pochi—or rather, Wolfanea Boy No. 6—on the 13th basement floor… but…

"Rosary, this is Milfilia."

"Milfi? Did you find Pochi!?"

"Well… no... um, Rosary, you haven't reunited with Pochi, er, Wolfanea Boy No. 6, yet, have you?"

"No."
"And Valkyrie… is with you, correct?"

"Yes."

At the moment, our Valkyrie is clearing out monsters with its post-apocalyptic ruler-style horse kicks.

This conversation is giving me déjà vu.

"And Geraldin-sama is…"

Huh? That’s a different question.

"He's probably still on the 12th floor, running around in tears."

"Why is he crying... never mind. Rosary, your siblings, Lucius and Lucille, are at home, correct?"

"Yes? I haven't confirmed, but they know better than to wander. They should be home."

"Yes, of course. The thing is..."

Milfi seemed hesitant but eventually mentioned that an adventurer had been rescued—not by Pochi but by Wolfanea Boy No. 6.

That would’ve been fine, except… Wolfanea Boy No. 6 was accompanied by:
- A muscular, rampaging beauty yelling “Rooosariiin!!” with her hair in disarray,
- A laughing, muscle-bound beastman, and
- Adorable twin children (though they control fire and ice, so they’re clearly more than meets the eye).

"I'm contacting my family and Geraldin-san…"

"Pochi, Pochiiii!!"

The crying and screaming old man needed no contacting; he just sped past us.

After confirming with my family, it turned out my adorable younger siblings had indeed returned home. I only informed them of Pochi's safety.

Why has the group grown?
What on earth happened!?

Pochiiiii!!

"This reeks of a mystery! And wherever there’s a mystery, Rosarin is always at the center! So, fess up!!"

"Fess up to what!?"

"Obviously, this is all Rosarin's doing!"

"Why am I suddenly being blamed!? Stop painting me as a troublemaker!"

"No, no! Detective Rinka's intuition tells me the culprit is Rosarin! Think carefully! Did you give Pochi any overpowered items!?"

Reluctantly, I decided to think back. Now that she mentioned it… among the Rosarinja, Pochi was…

"Ah! Tsuyoshi!"

"Which idol group is that!?"

"Not that one! The brush! The brush is mightier than the sword—Tsuyoshi!"

"Was that... a pun??"

"The mystery… the mystery is solved!!"

"Wait! That’s my line!!"

Leaving a sobbing Rinka behind, I focused on what needed to be done—saving Pochi!

"Emergency transmission! It’s been confirmed that Pochi is on the 13th basement floor or lower! Rosarinjas, Dirk, proceed immediately!"

"Roger!"

"Roger!"

"Roger!"

Huh?

"That’s sounds great! Roger!"

I didn’t mishear! And it’s not great!

"Roger!"

"Roger!"

"Roger!"

"Who started saying ‘Roger!’ like that!? And, additional info! Pochi seems to be with fake versions of me, Geraldin-san, Lucius, and Lucille."

"What!?"

"It’s all Rosarin’s fault."

"Ahhh…"

Everyone instantly nodded in agreement. Why though!?

"Wait! This time, it’s probably just coincidentally caused by the weapon I gave him, but stop acting like every weird phenomenon is my doing!"

"… I don’t think it’s always you, but, uh, based on past experience, it does seem plausible. Sorry, Rosarin."

"Urgh…"

I trusted Dirk to always have my back!

"Anyway, let’s focus on finding Pochi!"

(Roger!)

"That’s enough of that already!!"

Pochi, we’re coming to save you soon! My mental state is in shambles, but your sister—the Wolfanea Commander—will persevere!

----------

Pochi, launching out!
Pochi’s Point of View

I was dumbfounded. I had tried to help an injured adventurer. So, following Tsuyoshi's suggestion, I drew the strongest thing I could imagine. But since all my magic power was drained, I couldn’t move—and even if I could, I’d probably still be frozen in shock.

“Rooosariiin!!”

Maybe the last thing I saw influenced it. Basically, this was all Jend’s father’s fault.

“Rooosariiin!!”

I knew Oneechan was strong, but I hadn’t really joined her on any monster hunts, so I didn’t know how she fought.

“Rooosariiin!!”

Also, even now, I still treasure my Valkyrie figurines. That might’ve played a part in this too.

“Rooosariiin!!”

So yeah, the result of all these mixed influences is... this.

“Rooosariiiiin!!”

Running from reality won’t help. First, I need to deal with the immediate crisis.

The thing I accidentally created using Tsuyoshi—let’s call it Fake-rin—looked like this: its face was Oneechan’s, but its body was like Jend’s father’s absurdly muscular physique, and it wore Valkyrie-like armor. For some reason, it could only shout, “Rooosariiin!!” Why did this happen? It’s nothing but an insult to Oneechan. She might forgive me since she’s easygoing, but Dirk definitely won’t. Dirk would never tolerate such an insult to her.

Still, it did manage to save the adventurer who was about to be attacked by monsters.

Fake-rin defeated the monsters with one barehanded strike. Oneechan would never look like such a brute. When I see her, I’m apologizing on my hands and knees. I’m sorry, Oneechan. I don’t think you’re a brute. You’re beautiful, kind, and adorable.

“Rooosariiin?”

After regaining some magic power with a potion, I used a magic salve that my overprotective sister had once forced on me to heal the injured adventurer. Their wounds healed perfectly, and they thanked me.

While I was debating how to apologize—or at least how to explain Fake-rin to Dirk—Fake-rin suddenly picked me up.

“Whoa! I’m not hurt or anything!”

“Rooosariiin.”

It nodded. Why couldn’t it talk normally? Was it a Valkyrie curse? After confirming I was fine, Fake-rin hoisted me up fireman-style.

This carrying style felt oddly familiar. It gave me nothing but bad vibes.

“No way...”

“Rooosariiin!!”

And with that, Fake-rin dashed off at full speed. Before I knew it, I was on a lower floor. The first rule of being lost is to stay put, but at this rate, we’ll just keep missing each other! I scolded Fake-rin, and it looked genuinely remorseful.

“Rooosariiin...”

“Ugh!”

The face looked exactly like Oneechan’s. When she pouted like that, I couldn’t resist.

“J-just be more careful next time, okay?”

“Roooosariiiiin!!”

It nodded enthusiastically, looking cheerful again. It’s not a bad... thing. Probably.

Eventually, a voice came through the communicator in the suit’s ear section, startling me.

“Poc... zzzt... safe!?”

“Oneechan?! I’m fine!”

The transmission was hard to hear, but it was definitely Oneechan! She came to rescue me!

“We’ll... zzzt... save you... zzzt... soon!”

I felt so relieved hearing her voice, but then Tsuyoshi started acting up.

(Kaasama! Tsuyoshi has fulfilled its duty gloriously!)

“Rooosariiin!!”

(Kaasama, Kaasama!!)

For some reason, Tsuyoshi and Fake-rin started freaking out. Mainly Tsuyoshi, though—it was super loud.

(Kaasama, Kaasama, Kaasamaa!!)

“Tsuyoshi, quiet down! Dirk’s probably with her, right? Apologize to him for me! Oh no, more enemies!? I’m cutting off now!”

It seemed like Fake-rin’s shouting had attracted more monsters. Fake-rin was holding them off, but there were just too many. I tried creating bombs with my drawings to attack, but at this rate...

“!?”

My suit began glowing white. My senses sharpened, and strength welled up inside me.

(Master!?)

“Rooosariiin!!”

I nodded to reassure Fake-rin. I won’t mess up this time. Focusing on the images burned into my memory, I began drawing furiously.

“Come forth!!”

“Wahahahaha!!”

“Kyahahahaha!!”

I had drawn Jend’s father and Lucius and Lucille. Having just seen them, my mental image was crystal clear. They swiftly took down the monsters.

“... Maybe just Jend’s father would’ve been enough?”

Looking at the pile of monster corpses and my drawings running wild, I sighed. Yep, this is definitely overkill.

“Rooosariiin!!”

“Wahahahaha!!”

“Kyahahahaha!!”

Apparently, the fakes I’d drawn were bonding somehow. Then, Jend’s father (Fake) and Fake-rin came running over to me.

I found myself being carried again, this time by both Fake-rin and Jend’s father. Nothing about this felt good.

“Rooosariiin!!”

“Wahahahaha!!”

“Kyahahahaha!!”

“Ahhh, I knew it!!”

And so, I was once again forcibly relocated. Sis, I’m sorry. I... I can’t seem to follow the cardinal rule of staying put when lost. While slightly dissociating from reality, I was transported by two incredibly muscular creations.
