Trash Of The Royal Family: CH002

-CHAPTER 2-

-JOFFREY BARATHEON POV-

“Roll!” I shout out loud in giddiness as a internal lottery machine appears in my mind- exactly like those high-class ones in Vegas, heeding my command as the imaginary lever pulls itself and the wheels begins rolling at speeds where I can’t read what’s written on it. A firm bold “GOLD” written at the center of the wheel remains unmoving as the motions slows down revealing-

[Rolling Gold Ticket…]

[Magic Well]

Elite Trait

You have an abnormally large pool of energy you can access, allowing you to use abilities and spells for far longer.

Something in my gut unlocks as a cool otherworldly sensation spread across, following the nerves like blood as my body was pumped with the cool yet gentle feeling magical energy.

I look down at my hands in amazement, an cyan blue energy surrounding both my limbs akin to fire- yet they only gave me a joy instead of pain.

Then I read the description.

“FUCK YES!!” I shout out in joy, pumping my fist in celebration at having rolled a Elite class on my first roll.

Especially when it was such a good one! More energy was always good! Especially in a world where you can learn magic!

Though truthfully, ASOIAF and the show were never magic focused so I didn’t really know what you could really do with magic in this world beyond the things shown. And I’m pretty sure I could never learn Northern or Valyrian magic even if I spent my whole lifetime.

I shrugged. If push comes to shove, I’m pretty sure I could figure out a way to use this energy to become a punch wizard.

Plus, this would really come in handy powering all the different abilities that I would inevitably get from the Gacha.

“With that said…” The smile of excitement returns, my eyes shining brightly as if I was a kid on Christmas morning. “Roll!”

[Rolling Gold Ticket…]

[Immutable]

Rare Trait

Your body refuses to change. You are incredibly resistant to abilities that try to change, anyone trying to change you without your consent has to wrestle control over you first. Abilities like rot or wither inducement, sickness inducement, biokinesis, etc. are automatically resisted.

I shivered as a wave of something went through my body, if felt weird as someone had just poured ice cold water down my back for a second before it faded away.

“A rare trait…” Yet I quickly recovered and nodded in satisfaction as I read its description. While I don’t think that someone has those kind of abilities in this world, it never hurts to be safe- especially when it doesn’t use any ability slots… though I wonder if this would protect my mind from being corrupted from a sorcerer’s magic?

And while it was a level lower than the previous roll, this tier was the most average one from the Gold tickets so I had no problems. Let’s just hope I get some kind of ability next…

All in all, not too shabby. So once more I ordered, my giddiness not falling. “Let’s roll the last one!”

[Rolling Gold Ticket…]

[Novice Charisma]

Common Skill

You have an aura of charisma around you, it is less of a skill and more of something that is just about you, a change in your demeanor and how you hold yourself perhaps. People of note feel themselves more attracted to your presence, it's subtle things like people paying more attention to you, taking you more seriously etc. Though at this level it is not too noticeable

My excitement dims a little at that. Sure, it could probably be pretty useful skill to have as a prince but… it felt wasted on what was probably my last Gold Ticket for a while. I shook my head.

I’m being dumb, obviously there would be some not-so-great rolls too! That’s how Gacha works! I thought to myself encouragingly. I just need to get more and better tickets so I have better chances of pulling something good!

These pulls gave me a good base for now, though I was really hoping for at least one ability…

And that was when the RNGesus answered my call.

[Free Rolls Complete!]

[Would you like to take on some curses?] [Y/N]

My eyebrows quirk up in interest before caution blares on my face. Curses? What, is that some kind of disadvantage?

Shook my head and clinked “no”. I was going to play safe here, I already have enough on my plate.

[Are you sure? One Random Curse rewards a Platinum Ticket for every roll! This is only a one-time offer and cannot be accessed ever again!]

-And that made me freeze. A Platinum Ticket!? My jaw hit the floor as my eyes boggled out but I quickly collected myself,

Is it worth it though… I chewed on my lips in thought. Who knows what kind of “curse” it could be… I t might even put me in a lot of trouble…

But if I didn’t take it then, what was the guarantee that I could even make it long here? At least with a Platinum Ticket there should at least be a chance that I could get something decent.

Countless other worries like these went through my mind as I sat pondering silently. But as a migraine built up from worrying too much, I violently shook my head and spit down on the ground.

I guess Gacha gods have seduced me to the dark side.

“Ah! You know what? Fuck it!” A nervous yet determined grin stretched across my face, my heart thundering in my ear as my breath felt shallow, sweat breaking across my skin. “Let’s gamble with the fate of the world! Roll it!”

[Rolling Curses…]

[Doting Parents]

Severity 2- Minor

Your parents are a bit too doting towards you, unlike the usual absent parents in stories. It will be quite hard to avoid their scrutiny or attention.

Resolve: None

That’s… That’s it? I blinked in pleasant surprise. This was much more tamer than I had thought. And really, it didn’t really change much for me. Cersei was overprotecting anyway and Robert was… well Robert.

Well this is only good for me. “Roll!”

[Rolling Platinum Ticket…]

[Reflection]

Epic Ability

Allows you to create invisible forcefields that reflect Kinetic energy, if an enemy were to punch a forcefield their punch would be reflected back at their fist with double the strength, these forcefields have upper limits to what they can deflect equal to your power. Keeping forcefields active costs energy/mana and so does reflecting an attack. With training, you can create larger fields and change their shapes.

Once more I nodded in satisfaction with a smile. “Yes this is good.”

Pairing this with Magic Well should give me enough firepower that no normal knight could take me out without a fight. Especially if I timed this to activate at the right moment… but that would probably take weeks of learning.

[Roll another Curse?] [Y/N]

Now I had a choice ahead of me. I could take what I had gained and think of a plan moving forward without taking more unneeded risks… But where was the fun in that?

I had come this far. Might as well do another. After all, what could go wrong? “Roll!”

[Rolling Curse…]

[Leviathans]

Severity 15- Major

"Detecting multiple Leviathan-class lifeforms in the region. Are you certain whatever you're doing is worth it?" The world you are in is occupied by several giant, powerful monsters that possess a special animosity towards humanity.

Resolve: None, a one-and-done deal.

A feeling of doom engulfs me as my breath hitches, and I start to shiver as I get the premonition of the disasters I had just unleashed on the world.

“Fuck.” I cursed silently all my excitement vanishing into thin air.

This was truly disastrous. Undead, Dragons and now Kaijus were my obstacle to a peaceful life now.

Though I quickly shook off those thoughts of doom, it was too late to regret this decision now. And while it just added more problems to my already straining plate, I just had to hope that Gacha would give me something good enough to defeat them.

So with a thousand prayers to RNGesus, I rolled the Gacha silently.

[Rolling Platinum Ticket…]

[Battle Growth] (Platinum- Leviathans)

Epic Ability

You an eternal engine for battle, you grow in power every time you fight. The harder a battle is, the stronger and faster you grow in the middle of it, allowing you to adapt and surpass your opponent. This growth is permanent.

At least it’s not something bad. While it came nowhere close to fighting the danger of the multiple Kaijus, at least this gave me the pathway to defeating the disasters I had unleashed.

On the bright side, it was another Epic rank ability so it had have some overpoweredness to it right?

When the prompt asking me if I wanted to make another roll popped up, I refused it without hesitation. Who knows if it rolls an even worse Curse?

I was not a very greedy man and was ready to leave with the boons I had gained.

I just hoped this was all worth it. I sighed as a huge man flaps opens the tent and looks in, half his face horribly disfigured and burned, wearing a full-plated metal armor with a sword at his hip, instantly making me recognize him.

“My Prince, your mother requests your presence at the breakfast.” Sandor Clegane- The Hound –says as he bows.

Straight into the fire huh? Let’s see how well I can act like Joffrey…

A/N: Yeah his luck sucks a lot.

[EDITED FOR SPELLING MISTAKES]

I've got a really interesting idea for the levithan that will quickly become apparent

Samir Hashmi

While that roll was bad for the world it isnt that bad for him personally. If the leviathans appear in between the narrow sea it will cut off trade and communication with essos but it will also make it very difficult for Danerys to invade westeros and make Dorn more reliant on westeros. Honestly the Ironborn are the ones that are going to suffer the worse from that roll... unless Euron has magic that allows him to tames leviathans.
