I'll make some various sizes and then I think I might make various bum rolls too (can't believe thats the actual name of them lol)

So these hoops are actually meant to create a figure that they liked at the time. so you wear these then put the petticoats and skirts on top to create a huge skirt shape. then because there is space you can tie a small bag to the waist between the petticoat layers and the top skirt and that becomes your pocket. But these and bum rolls are like corsets, worn on top of a slip or chemise and considered underwear or shapewear so the dresses followed the outline people wanted. And you had different shapes for different figure outlines at different times depending on what was in fashion. So in one era you would have massive hoop skirts with these pocket hoops underneath, then in another era you would have very small skirts with a bum roll underneath to make your bum look big then in another era you would have these massive cages shaped in weird ways to hold the skirts up in a different shape.
