How Much Work Can a Neglected BMW Need? - E39 530i Touring - Project Rottweil: P2

Part 2 of project Rottweil!

Making great progress with the E39 Touring and making the trusty M54 engine run perfectly again. We got a lot done in this episode and finished a thorough service of the engine. We are now left to deal with the suspension, brakes, interior, paint and lots of other small issues.

It feels awesome completing smaller jobs, fixing stuff one by one, and getting the car to run right again. I hope you like it!

Can wait for the next video. Luckily I had a project on my e46 coupe to work on, replacing the transmission filter and oil. First time always takes me longer than but I learned a lot and it was fun. The stupid hand pump ended up being the biggest hurdle, definitely going to research another brand for the future. Ig: thachoice

Hi sreten, i saw you annoyed on the bleeding of the car. very recognizable and i found a solution. the bleed screw is m10, i fully remove the screw and just shove a clear plastic line in the hole that has a diameter of 10 mm then run it back into the expansion tank and no mess. when your done bleeding i ussualy just get a rag around the area and put in the plug but you might be able to also just stop the pump remove the lines and have no mess at all.

Lots of fresh parts are always good! Those 6's are so smooth.
