April, May, June Bonus Pairing Alt-Ends
Added 2018-07-01 11:27:26 +0000 UTCHoo boy. These really took a while, didn't they?
The alt-ends are tricky because they basically force me to get back into a story that I already feel "done" with, so it feels much harder than it really is to get each alt-end completed. I feel really rotten about making you all wait so long for them, honestly, but it really is just so easy to let them sit on the back-burner. That's not really fair to any of you!
In the future, I might look for a better way to write the alt-ends. For instance, maybe I'll release the alt-ends in clumps—three for every three months, so I can do them as one big effort. Or maybe I'll just try to write them the same night I edit the BP, like I'm doing tonight, in the hopes that I'll still be in the mood for them so soon after.
Well, anyhoo...
bp11a: Mommy vs. Milk Kittens (alt-ending, with epilogue attached!)
bp11b: Mommy vs. Milk Kittens (main ending)
I actually changed my mind on which is the "main ending", but bp11a is the version I posted earlier. For those who don't want to have to reread the whole thing to find the branching paths, the branching-off point is "a single whimper".
bp10a: Druid vs. Holstaur (canon ending)
bp10b: Druid vs. Holstaur (alt-ending)
The branching-off point is "overwhelmed pleasure". Poor, poor Jack. All's well that ends bad. ;)
bp9a: Senya vs. Incubus (canon ending)
bp9b: Senya vs. Incubus (alt-ending)
The branching-off point is "didn't even care anymore".
I really hope you enjoy these!
Comments
I enjoyed the milk kittens' bonus pairing more than I expected- and not just because we got to see what the ranch would be like, had Laca had her way. There was a distinctly 'Salem's Lot' vibe to the story, a sense of creeping unease that came as a pleasant surprise. Can't wait for the next one!

2018-07-13 14:44:55 +0000 UTCGod, your work is honestly inspiring. I love the idea of milk kittens for so many reasons. (And I hope you won't be incensed if a similar figure/creature shows up in one of my stories.)

2018-07-01 21:50:30 +0000 UTCWhat exactly does Nutmeg do to Milk Kittens? Why were they effected the way they were by having Nutmeg Charms on them?
